My worry would be the quality of the repair work. Do you have somewhere specific in mind?

The boot floor and back panel will need to be replaced that will be your problem finding them, and bet the inner rear wings are bent, all the other parts will be easy to find secound hand.Got some more pictures of the inside boot floor before it goes of to the repairers.

These insurers have their preferred repairers but you are within your rights I think, to have it repaired wherever you like.

Good news anyway, bladdy quick work isn't it? Surprised they've even sent an assessor yet ...

So sorry to hear (and see) after all of your hard work and great skill in restoring this car that you've had so much bad luck..
I'm sure, given the attention to detail with this project that it'll be repaired to a very high standard!

I have sourced all new genuine panels for the repair myself and the insurance company are paying for them i have to send receipts etc also they are not sending a asser as its going to a bodyshop of my choice so they just require the estimate from bodyshop to pass to claims department then will give nod.

All the Micras, 206's, Picassos and other motorised Sputum on the road and they have to pick that lovely and rare car to use for stopping practice !

Sounds like its in hand and will live on, so thats good.

In a case like this, is it possible to repair it fully and avoid the 'written off/V-car status'?

Getting fixed with all new genuine oem parts by insurance so wont be registered as not being written off the joys of a high agreed value.
