I know for a fact this is true and I don't blame them either tbh, otherwise they are basically unusable unless you can afford to take that kinda hit

It would be a very honest man who buys an expensive 15,000 mile car that the previous 6 owners have all clocked, does the same 10k in it that they all did, but doesn't clock it and takes the big hit to the value which that would entail.

It's all a nod and a wink. No harm done, unless you're the one who doesn't play the game. Shame, but there it is.

So everyone is tying themselves in knots trying to pretend their mileage is lower than it actually is. People will only buy a low mileage car, even knowing the mileage is false?

fking mentalists.

A self-perpetuating cycle. A high miles car won't sell, but a high-miles car with the documents of a low miles car will. So you drive with the speedo connected during Easter, and disconnect it for the rest of the year.

So the driver of the value isn't the actual miles, it's the demonstrable miles on the clock and in the history. So you buy a car with the right and necessary history, knowing it's not true, so that you can in the future sell a car with the necessary history, and your buyer knows it isn't true either! rofl

And the industry supports it, because they don't want your horrible showroom-dust-gathering high-miles car either!

(I should say this is now 'miles' off thread, and no reflection on the OP or other threadists. smile)

Not sure if the Lambo tractor was lost in the recent incident, but why not expand the tractor collection?
Sadly this is now reserved, but a nice Porsche 218 might be fun smile

Hi everyone

Sorry been a bit busy lately, bought a few cars though lately.
Yes I got the GT3RS 4.0 from DK Engineering. And I’ve also bought something special beginning with a ‘2’ from THJ.

Hope so! Maybe detune it a bit first. Glad to see you with some car buying mojo.

Think they were £128k but you couldn't just walk in and buy one so the new price is almost irrelevant laugh They've been getting flipped for multiples of their purchase price, pretty much since new, much the same with many 'RS' products and other specials and it looks like its even set to happen now with the new 992 GT3 sadly!

Nice purchase Pete, an absolute dream car of mine that one and love the subtlety of the colours with your example.

Thanks Scott
Yeah it’s a weird car alright, at one point I saw them trading hands for £650,000 so I think I got a good deal especially at £470,000.
