Brilliant thread, with an incredible story behind it.
Hats off to you OP, you seem like a very good man - I wish you all the best, especially in your charity work.
(Yes I am a massive lurker and rarely post....)
Also added you on instragram - hope that is ok (cs_wray)

Yes, bought it from Chris at JCT600 Leeds. Nice guy
If you need a lift to go collect it I’ll happily nip over!I am at PCGB tomorrow so will look out for your CGT. I am a supplier to them so get to see more than most however there is a few CGT's there so not sure I'll find it!!
If you do see it then please take a few pictures for me, I bought it from Redline in Knaresborough so should be easier to track down with that info.
Cheers

Christ on a stick, your car collection!!!
Congrats, you’ve clearly worked hard to achieve all you have and your charity work and attitude are an incredible attribute to have.
The fact you still rate the abarth 500 when you’ve had some of the best cars ever made really makes me want to go try one. I’ve often admired them especially the noise they can make for a 1.4 but whenever i mention it to friends they just don’t understand which puts me off a bit as lets be honest; they are kind of right in that it has a whiff of ‘girlyness’ about it. Maybe i should just get over that and try one!
Haha I know what you mean, I’ve had a great ripping off the lads since getting it. I honestly don’t care though, it’s a fantastic car, a true gem. Congrats, you’ve clearly worked hard to achieve all you have and your charity work and attitude are an incredible attribute to have.

Yeah there’s faster cars but that’s not everything. I’ve got some of the greatest supercars ever made, even my daily driver is a Wraith, but I’d take the little Fiat over everything, everyday.
It’s all about how the car makes me feel, and boy does that make me feel exactly the same as I did that very first day I passed my driving test and went out on my own in my 1.1 fiesta popular. Like a king.
Who cares if people think it’s girly, that’s just a stupid label people put on things because they have deeper issues themselves. Go and take a 595 out and tell me it doesn’t make you smile. Or if you’re ever in Cheshire then I’ll be more than happy to take you out in my 695. It’s like a go kart on acid :-)

Completely agree. I had Fiat's press BiPosto Record last week, absolute hoot. Here are a few words I scribbled about it if you fancy reading it!

Well written, very funny. Couldn’t agree more with pressing the sport button. IT IS THE LAW!!! :-)https://www.botb.com/blog/in-the-spotlight-abarth-...

2manycars, I absolutely love your car collection, the LFA is astonishing, you are a very lucky man indeed to be able to own such an engineering masterpiece.
I truly appreciate what you're doing for RMCH, I personally am a volunteer at the MRI and cover the whole hospital, its an absolutely wonderful place and truly deserves everything it gets, only hear good things coming out of there. I personally have experienced just how amazing they are, they truly are changing the face of medicine by the day, and it really has inspired me to go on and hopefully be on the frontline job of this place in the near future. I see on a day to day basis the community there is, and that everyone looks out for everyone - especially the children hospital. They truly are something else, well above par of most places I have seen.
I want to thank you for hosting this event, as a representative of the hospital. I am not able to attend myself due to the realities of attempting to get that frontline job, but I'm sure that it will be a great event no matter what.
Thanks, and nice car(s)!

I’ll make sure to take plenty of pictures for you and get everyone to reach deep into their pockets.

Back to have another drool over the LFA that I jokingly suggested was a Gran Turismo screenshot. Wow, that escalated quickly!
Pete, what a fleet and it is good to see the ones with a bit of moolah actually taking a bit of time out to give something back, whether that is charity work, a spin in an exotic car, or as many crave (including me!) a few pictures of some of the good stuff. You've ticked all three off......nice one!
Now, a video of the LFA at full chat up the road would be very nice....I'll pick it up in Insta!
I’ll post a video of the LFA on instagram now as I can’t do it on here for some reason Pete, what a fleet and it is good to see the ones with a bit of moolah actually taking a bit of time out to give something back, whether that is charity work, a spin in an exotic car, or as many crave (including me!) a few pictures of some of the good stuff. Just seen it now, sorry was in a meeting with ‘children in need’. My brother is going on tv with them on Friday through the day, just making sure they’ve got insurance for all those people he’s going to scare with his face haha. Anyway, added you. Handle is joshleb

Got this today (well not technically as they ‘forgot’ to tax it) and hopefully they are tracking a one-77 down for me. I use the word hopefully very loosely.
Pete
Hope you don't mind, I was getting a crick in my neck Pete
Amazing car, wonderful colour too. Flugplatz Blue?
P.S. I also added you on instagram. Same username as here.
Yeah I’ve always loved that blue.
7 speed manual too.
I’ll jump on instagram now. Nice to meet you

2manycars, if you're still AMA'ing I'd love to hear your business story.
Was is something you always had an idea and a game plan for? Or perhaps something you fell into: a job you took, worked your way up a bit and then thought "I can do it way better than this" and set up on your own? Or maybe presented with an opportunity one day and thought "hmmm might have legs, see where it goes"...and the rest, as they say, is history.
Always intriguing these stories. I love how innocuous things can snowball into something great.
(And don't give us any I was lucky spiel...you make your own luck!! Luck proffers opportunity, but you still have to have the courage and the nouse to act on it and make the most of it).
Hmmm, I’ll give you the very brief rundown as I don’t want to turn this thread into something narcissistic. Was is something you always had an idea and a game plan for? Not really that interested in much as a kid apart from cars. Hated the schooling system and the way they taught the syllabus. Messed about a lot in school and daydreamed about fast cars and general teenager boy things ha.
Got suspended on the last day of school for fighting and was told I wasn’t allowed to sit my GCSE’s, my parents fought for me to take them but my heart wasn’t in it so I didn’t even really turn up for most.
Anyway, got 0 GCSE’s and went to college for a year to retake the essential ones and started messing about selling ‘returns’ electronics (its legal don’t worry). Quit college and started a job at Starbucks whilst I was training for the Royal Marines. Torn my calf during my PRMC and was told to come back in other 6-12 months.
Started a job at a call centre selling British Gas electricity supply contracts to businesses. Rose to the top quickly, was promised loads of things but they never transpired.
Quit there, took on 2 jobs as well as setting up my own business selling electricity and gas to businesses. Set up with £400, no help from my parents. Still held onto the other two jobs and saved every penny I could until I could quit one of the jobs to focus that time in my own business. Copied that until I was just down to my own company job, plowed nearly 18 years into it and yeah, that’s about it.
I do lots of other stuff but like I said, let’s not bore everyone, let’s get some more pictures and videos of the LFA on here.
Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I do find these things fascinating. The cars are great, but they don't hold my interest for as long as some on here. The people behind them, far more interesting.
Thanks Pete

Glad I could answer, just didn’t want it turning into a ‘Pete’ thread.
There’s no great mystery to making money, find something you’re good at, see what everyone else is doing, and do the complete opposite.
Just remember to share the wealth though, it’ll do wonders for the soul.
My daughters birthday present every year from me is that we sponsor guide dogs for life. Ever year we add a new guide dog to the family.
The day she grows up and argues that it’s not fair and she wants something else is the day she gets nothing.
She’s already privileged enough, don’t want a spoilt child on my hands.
Cheers
Pete
