I've taken a deposit for the Nugget and it should be being collected this Saturday, this has been a really fun van but it was getting to be a little small for our needs. It's still a great van and it will always hold a special place in our hearts - I recorded a very short video (3 minutes!) on 5 reasons we'll miss it.

As for its replacement, I'm currently in the midst of cleaning it - the previous owner didn't clean prior to handover so its needing some TLC.

And the Nugget has left the building. I’m quite sad that it’s gone, I’m sure the new owner will have a great time with it though.

I’m very excited about the next camp with the Sven Hedin.

Most definitely, we’ve already done a camp in the new van and in-spite of the very wet weather it passed with flying colours.

It’s had a full service which didn’t raise any issues (always a relief on a new purchase), but I have it booked in for a clutch change + timing belt & water pump. That should then be all it needs mechanically. Probably won’t have much change from £2k though.

I’m not sure if I should start a new thread or continue this one. Anyhow after collecting the van the inside needed a big old clean as it was proper grim (including the toilet & cassette). Luckily whilst dirty the van was not hiding any horrors, which was a big relief. If you like cleaning vehicles & synthwave this might be up your street.

I’ve also had the van serviced (by professionals this time) as I wanted them to check out the van and made sure it really was up to snuff. It came back with a thumbs up and an expected slight advisory on the front suspension (it’s a big heavy van that’s done 85k)

The only remaining bits are a timing belt change and a clutch as it’s starting to slip a little. Driving it back to back with the Nugget really highlighted how much better the transit drove with a new clutch.

Took our camper to the Grand Prix last weekend! Had a great time, the Silverstone golf club campsite was clean and pretty quiet compared to woodlands.
