Fantastic stuff, thanks for sharing. I love to see old school restoration techniques. If the stuff you aren't going to see looks this good, then I imagine the final product will be a real stunner!
Thank you .The vast majority of the work turned out by this workshop is for long standing and repeat customers, he doesn't advertise for work and actually turns a substantial amount of work away . He currently has enough to keep the workshop going for up to 5 years ,plus the personal projects ,of which there are several .
He must be doing something right ,he also has an impressive display of motorsport trophies .
Big changes on the race E type .
The owner has decided that he wants the car to be RHD .
This will require the roll cage to have major modifications , the RH floor pan to have major modifications to accommodate a tall driver . All the work on the pedals will now be discarded as they are not transferable to RHD . Along with the usual work to convert from left to right .

Was going to ask whether it was to be converted or not. Given the majority of circuits (in the UK at least) are clockwise then it makes sense having the driver (or 75+ kg of ballast, depending on how you look at it) on the inside of corners. The owner has decided that he wants the car to be RHD .

It was imported from the USA from one of the dry states , hence it being in almost rust free condition.
Unlike a Mustang from the same decade that came in for accident damage which has turned out to be absolutely rotten along with loads of previous bodged repairs .
After the big change in direction of the build , Peter the builder had a pretty serious accident on the speedway track . Fractures to the collar bone ,several ribs both front and rear and a punctured lung . This led to a stay in Kings Hospital London and the decision to plate his fractured ribs at the back as they were doing more damage every time he breathed!
He returned to work in the new year on very light duty as he had restricted movement and strength to his left side . Over the last couple of weeks work on the E type has resumed with the removal of the boot floor and clean up of the area and rust prevention. The cills have had the outer skins removed and strengtheners manufactured a welded in . Outer cills have been repaired where necessary and refitted
