Lovely car, I came very close to getting one of these last summer but got a golf R32 instead.

Every time I see one of these I yearn for one, but then I get in my Golf and it just sounds so good (shame the performance isn't that good) - think i'll bite the bullet and get a 335 next summer!
I still remember the first time I heard an R32 started and revved up, got to be one of the best sounds going. I've come very close to getting one a few times but I just couldn't justify the road tax price for the performance, which is a real shame. I still love seeing them on the road

It's usually because of the hard runflats, has it still got them?
Yes it's still running bridgestone RFT's. Have thought about changing but the thing that makes me wonder is as far as I know the suspension has been designed to work with them and not sure if it would affect my warranty? I've just bought the BMW recommended winter runflats too just to be safe

Few more things done.....

They say it's the little things. Well my car came complete with glove box torch and the warning triangle so I was happy that was all complete and original, then to my horror I look at the tool kit and see TWO empty sections.

Please excuse the rubbish phone pics

A search online reveals that not all cars come with the complete tool kit. BMW just give you what they think you need. So I was missing a screw driver and a "Z" type allen key (all very technical) that has something to do with a sun roof (I don't have a sun roof, but I do have mild car OCD). According to Real OEM that "Z" thingy is no longer available. So ebay came up with a second hand one from an e46. The screw driver was about £4 from BMW, not bad.

And all is right with the world again biggrin

For my birthday last month my lovely wife pulled a blinder and got me an M3 style lip spoiler. It's from SSDD Motorsport and I was very impressed with the quality of the part and the paint finish. I think it finishes off the back nicely and balances it out.

Sorry for the dirty car but the weather today is bogging and so are the roads yuck

Cheers

Mine has a full milltek and was registered 7 days before the tax band went up. Will be difficult to let it go!

From where did you get the wheel badges please?

I'd like to replace mine on my E92 330i.

Expensive but probably the way to go. I ordered some for 9.99 off eBay and they just fall out of the wheels!

Stunning car, I love the combo. The black grills suit all the 'de-chromed' M Sports imo. I've done the same on my 530i Sport.

Nice motor.. I had a 335i a while ago.. Took it up to 400bhp without too much expenditure.

Shameless pic!

If you want to spray the disc hub easily, tape up the calliper spray the hub, don't mask it off, spin the disc round and do the side that was near the calliper properly, let it dry take the tape off the calliper, go for a quick spin and so some braking and it will get rid of all the paint on the disk and leave you with a crisp edge around the disc hub! Tried and tested loads of times.

I have ditched runflats at the earliest opportunity on my cars. They ride much better without them, it`s like driving a different car.

I appreciate they offer safety benefits but for me they can actually ruin a car

Yeah it seems alot of money for what they are. Looking at the new design though I'm hoping they should last alot better

At the beginning of December, after much deliberation I decided I was going to get winter tyres. I didn't fancy my first winter of RWD being a disaster, especially if it snows.

As I want to keep my car OEM as possible I looked into the BMW winter package. But I couldn't justify £1600!!! Even second hand sets on the Bay with a couple of winters use were going for £900. I decided I could do better, I found some genuine 17in E92 BMW alloys with knackered tyres and ordered the correct winter tyres that would come on the official BMW sets.

They have a bit of kerbing but nothing drastic and the backs are like new which is very important as they'll be spending their life getting covered in salt.

To start I wanted to get them properly clean so I could polish and wax them to give them a fighting chance.

Now they were ready for a coat of polish and then four coats of poorboys

While they don't look anywhere near as good as my Msports, I think I can handle them until March and it's good to know I can now safely use my car in all weathers

I had some Gliptone shampoo, conditioner and a scuffmaster kit waiting for a chance to go to work. My leather was starting to look a little shiney and there was slight wear starting to show on the bolster piping.

The leather looked clean.... how wrong I was!

Well after using the Scuffmaster kit and conditioning all the leather, the damage has gone. The leather is nice and soft with a matt finish again, it's great stuff!

Then today I took advantage of the dry weather and gave her a wash. Used my new xmas present to snow foam the car, I love it smile

All clean.... for the next few hours anyway

Cheers
