My S2 2+2 is a daily driver, essentially from Edinburgh to Glasgow and back each day. I also use it for school drop off's when needs be. I have a 7yr old and a 4yr old. Youngest one, he likes to sit in the back seat and with his sister in the passenger seat he's got plenty of footspace. However, when his sister sits in the back she also has sufficient space. I have a 'Bubble Bum' blow up seat base for the short run to school so I don't have to worry about storing a full size booster when it's not in use. This one deflates, goes in a bag and in the boot. Main problem with the 4yr old in the front seat is seeing over the dashboard.

Either way round, it's a family car... biggrin

Definitely a family car, here is mine with a 16 year old in the back and a taller 16 year old in the front. Both wearing fancy dresses for school prom.

I am on my second evora as a daily driver. A few jiggles, but no real faults. I put 50k miles on the first one in 2 years.

This is my current one

I like that colour, very nice

Daytona blue. If I understand correctly its one of 2 (,maybe 4) UK Evora Sports Racers in that colour. 1st driver of mine was Martin Donelly smile

Just a little update. Had a new spare key supplied by Stoneacre Lotus for £210 yesterday.

Today the car is at BTG in North Shields again, this time for the interior to be removed ready for it to be taken to the Furniture Clinic for dyeing (red) funded by the sale of the exhaust that was removed from my Evora. Happy days.

They'll also be fixing the airbag dash cover lift (common Evora problem).

The steering wheel will also be retrimmed and made a little thicker so it's going off to RoyalSteeringWheels.com

Here's the seats as they are now:

I'll get BTG to send me some 'during' photos so that I can upload and I'll take some after photos once they're red and refitted.

Airbag cover lift is usually because the covers on early cars warped. They will need to deal with the warp rather than just replace the clips

I would (and did) swap the leather gear knob for the alloy ball one a la Exige and later cars. Straight swap.

Yeah the airbag cover is getting sorted, they said that same thing as you.

The gearknob is an Exige V6 one already wink

They made quick work of the interior...

Saw one at my local garage recently and was very impressed. First time I see one in the flesh and didn't expect to like it that much tbh. The car is 50k miles and it certainly shows (full respray, peeling front headlights and bumper, driver door lock OOS) but I just love the interior and the overall shape.

Can't wait to have a go in it, my garagist was surprised when I told him it's 350bhp and was asking if the poneys are hiding in the glovebox... (he owns the Impreza and the Clio rally cars).

I’m probably in the minority, but I really like the interior. I’ve never seen one that colour before.

Judging by the diffuser that one is an NA so 276bhp, not 350.

Drove a 400 last year at Hethel and was very impressed with the interior. Build quality has continued to improve.
No new car should have any niggles, but today I borrowed a brand new Merc A class with a squeaky dash! Just shows you...

+1 but then I'd like that interior colour in metallic (maybe slightly darker) on the outside too paperbag

Nice car OP, often wondered how these compare to Cayman S, I love Lotus (mainly Elise) but in the end just found them too frustrating to live with.

Damn it sounds nice! How do you have liked engine+transmission in a long run?

You have a very nice car, it looks super with that color. Absolutely.

Thanks!

Engine is great and the transmission is OK.
