When you remove the A/C bracket you will see that one of the bolts goes into the block from the front of the engine. Some people leave that bolt out with no ill effects, others say you may get an oil leak and so it should be refitted. I say refit it.

I left mine out and it leaked massively! At tickover, even on a lift, there was no apparent leak but under load it fairly gushed out.

In the absence of the bracket, the bolt which comes out of that hole will be too long (it will bottom out) so either source a shorter one or cut that one down. IIRC it's about 5mm too long.

Also, when you fitted your A/C delete pipe under the dash you will have disconnected two wires. If you join those together it will allow you to manually switch on the A/C fan (if still fitted) for additional cooling by using the A/C button so long as the blower switch is in the on position.
Yeah have the shorter belt ready to go on and have already cut a bolt down to the right size ready for when i take it off biggrin

I actually plan to recommission the AC in my Eunos eventually! Does your fan motor seem to blow out barely a puff at full chat? If I point a vent directly at my face I can't feel it. I have a feeling there's a blockage somewhere or other. I can only tell it's on by the dust flying out of the vents!
Cant say I really use the heater much as its stuck in the garage over winter and in the heat its fine with the roof down and the wind in my hair lol Mine does seem to clear the windscreen fine tho when I need it too.

Great work with this revamping, you really brought it back to life.

Done a few small bits to the car, the passenger side window trim had started to peel and show some rust through so decided to take it off and give it a sand and repaint -

how it was before -

and all painted, not perfect but looks a lot better than the rust that was there, forgot to take a photo of it on the car again -

The electric aerial stopped working so rather than buy a new aerial i thought id just get a new bluetooth headunit so i could just use my phone for music and radio, managed to get a pioneer headunit from Halfords who had it on offer, half price at £48 -

so just removed the broken aerial unit and got a grommet to fill the hole, not pretty but does the job smile

Sorted a couple of small bits to tidy the interior a bit, first someone before obviously had some gauges or something attached to the A pillar on the drivers side and have now been left with a load of holes in it, which did annoy me as could see it everytime i got in the car lol

So sourced a second hand one fom Suffolk Mazda and got it fitted, before and after -

Also got a second hand Motamec Classic steering wheel from ebay for £35 to replace the standard Eunos wheel and fitted that -

Before -

After -

Think the wheel gives it a slightly more retro look to the interior and is nice to use and a good size for the car.

Have also brought a new leather handbrake cover and gear gaitor to replace the split ones currently fitted but havnt got round to fitting those yet, will get a pic of the whole interior when there fitted, also looking for some new seats, maybe Mk2 seats to replace the tired tombstone ones smile
