I'm sure it's very nice and all but I just can't get on with the looks. It needs another 6 inches in the wheelbase! And far less of those silly fake vents, and they are fake despite what Toyota claim.

Let's hope the rumour of an impending RX7/RX9 is real this time.

With regards to the dealers and Toyota, the Supra appears to be a bit of a shock to them and they are all over the place.

I ordered my car in January and Toyota were great at keeping in touch (they sent me a Supra branded Alexa and invited me to Thruxton) but had no idea when the car was arriving: "Talk to your dealer". I did, and they repeatedly didn't call me back and didn't have any contact with me apart from an email one day saying "Your Supra is here". I wasn't impressed as I had to scrabble around trying to find the money and I almost just cancelled there and then.

On the plus side, with a few more days driving around it is getting better and I'm hoping that it was just tarnished with all the bad experiences (life and Toyota combined) that caused a hasty "let's just get rid of it and move on". It is easy to drive and despite what is said by the posters above I do quite like the way it looks.

Yes, but I'm sure I watched a video where the idea is they can be activated. The car is built to be modified, that's literally the whole point of it.

Saw a truck full of these being unloaded from a train onto transporter earlier this morning at the bottom of the M1. Still with paint protection on.

The estimated flywheel figures were but not at the wheels

There are lots of people who've dyno'd before and after an ECU tune. Seems 320hp at the wheels is normal. Add a downpipe and an ecu tune and it 400+ at the wheels. They are making some impressive 1/4 mile times (well into the 11s) with downpipe, tune and tyres.

It does look smart in the yellow. Still a fussy design though.

Sigh. Go to an American forum.

Alternatively just pick a number and add 25% rolleyes

I'd rather see a UK car on a uk dyno

Are we saying that Toyota Supra’s are now supercars?
Are they really in the same league as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsch, Maserati?
Not sure!
For me they are not in limited enough production.

There are other videos disproving that. The wing vents don’t go anywhere bar inside the double skin. The door vents are just holes in the rather ugly stuck on plastic.

Why use that old lump? The B58 has a solid base design. Forged crank, forged conrods, closed deck block, and a twin scroll turbo. The 2JZ is less powerful, less efficient, and heavier.

The wheelbase is actually shorter than that of a GT86/BRZ. But they've done a pretty ok job of hiding it (in the flesh).

It'd be interesting to see how much power an old Supra would need to beat a new Supra over 1/4 mile. An old vs new drag race would make an interesting watch!

I drove one this morning. Apparently Toyota have a few cars that are sent to dealers for a couple of days a time for a 2 hour test drive. I had to sign 5 pages of paperwork before driving and I didn't feel they were very geared up for the selling experience at this level. I even signed Enterprise rent a car paperwork as the car was running by them by Toyota! Interestingly I was told that I am the only booked test drive.

When I turned up there was a queue looking at my car Alpine A110 Premiere edition. I thought the Supra for me was too GT bit like my old F type but like the styling in person.
