Had a little fiddle with the height over the last few days. Very happy with how it’s sitting now.

(Lovely filter on that picture as it makes it look a bit redder than it is!)

New rocker cover (attempt 3, vents in the right places and all baffled) ready to go on.

We’re going to do the valve clearances while we change it this time as I’ve never actually checked those!

New company car arrives at the end of the month so I am actually going to have the care resprayed over the winter.

I’ve stopped driving the car for the winter now. Got myself something a bit more plush than previous years to weather the winter storms..

More comfortable, more spacious and better on fuel than the civic but obviously much, much slower hehe dropping 200+ bhp is quite a culture shock!!

It’s already getting stuff in the back of it. Wheels are going in for a refurb next week and I thought I’d stick some new tyres on the front while they’re off.

Eagle F1 Asymetric 5’s (again) I really like these tyres. Hopefully the respray will be all in hand soon too!

Sam.

Ah fond memories of my Milano Red EP3

I used to pass it everyday in the Honda showroom spinning on the turntable teasing me.

I eventually bought it brand new with the private plate (a present) H20 CTR (Honda 2.0 Civic Type R)

Such a fun car!

Yeah they’re pretty awesome. I remember when I first saw one in the showroom and decided I was having one!

I haven’t done much or many miles on the Civic for the last 4 months (sub 300 miles!) as the majority of the work is done by the Megane which has been sublime.

I did have to go to work today so took it out for a spin. It still makes me laugh when you give it a bit of stick!

Driving the Megane with height adjustable seats set down nice and low has made me realise how high the seat in the civic is, so I’ve bought something to rectify that.

I’ve also got used to CarPlay so I’m putting something in place to sort that too.

I got a new phone too so here’s a picture of a dirty pink Civic.

No, they’re getting rarer and rarer too.

When I bought this in 2014 there were around 15k EP3 taxed and it’s down to 8k now. There’s nearly 4K showing SORN but I reckon most of those are dead!

Just caught up with the progress since I last checked. The car looks great with the new wheel colour, really like the EP3 in Milano.. will look even better once it's freshened up too. cool

I'm weighing up a respray for mine at the moment and whether changing from silver to something more interesting is worth the extra hassle/expense on a predominantly track based car.

Thanks for the comments all smile

I still love the car even after 6 years. I still flirt with the idea of changing it but the question is always ‘what could I get that’s as fun as this without spending a wedge of money’ and the answer is, not a lot!

Still waiting on news on the respray, nothing set in concrete yet with dates or even costs! Just see what happens when I hear anything.

I think if I was contemplating a colour change on a track car I’d look at a wrap? Seems a lot cheaper for a complete colour change (if you go without under bonnet, door shuts etc) and probably easier to replace if you have an off!

I’m hoping that the car will be going in mid feb for the paintwork. I just sorted the last few pieces of the puzzle over the last few days.

Genuine Honda windscreen and roof gutter trims, brand new from a chap on eBay nearly half the price as they would be from Honda!

I bought a new set of genuine badges and decals in, er, June 2018 rofl ready for the respray, so it’s nice to have these already. Along with a decent pair of Jazz washer jets.

And I’ve got this M2 Motorsport seat rail to go in too.

For which I’ve ordered a single drivers Mirco RTS bucket seat, because they do a decent size and a nice colour scheme to match the OEM passenger Recaro.

Moar nooz when it’s available!
