For anyone who isn’t keeping up with the videos - here’s the Clio (that you’ll have seen in photos previously)

It’s a 1.4 RT auto, with 33k on the clock.

It’s fked, obviously.
I admire how fresh that still looks, i think its quite a handsome small car

Interesting anecdote, my Dad bought a L plate RT Auto like that new. By this point, they weren't keen on letting me drive their cars but at about 2 months old circumstances forced them to have me drive it around the block a few times while they were doing something in town.

10 minutes i was at the helm - and that's what it took me to destroy the gearbox smile

His first Auto as well, warranty should have taken care of it but the box was sent back to France for testing. It took so long to return that the dealer gave up and offered him a replacement, which at this point was a M plate and a manual !

That's completely irresponsible. I'm surprised you could reach the pedals at that age.

Got plenty of MOT, no worries there!

It does just get the fk on with it in that indestructible 90s Toyota way. A rear wheel bearing is on its way out but I’ll get that sorted ASAP for very, very little!

Tailgate mounted spare wheel doesn’t seem like such a good idea when it’s 21 years old....

Reminds me, I should check the Metro spare. The fronts were original and 25 year old, bet the spare is too.

They suffer a bit in the boot but not as bad as this. I thought under slung spares were the worst but tailgate mounted gives it a run for its money!

I quite agree with you, I work on cars day in day out and hate VAG products with a vengeance.
