Ah now theres a car I recognise smile we were out at the Nurburgring at the same time and briefly chatted to you in the ED petrol station carpark while one of our party was trying to fix his Mitsubishi Evo.. you were sans spoiler by that point! Glad the rest of the trip went well, decent little adventure you had there!
Small world eh?

Did your mate get his car sorted out?

Fantastic car but curiosity has got the better of me, and i need to find out where was this picture taken because the scenery looks sublime? And what is the queue for?
It's the car carrier train that goes through the tunnel to the Simplon Pass in Switzerland, 2 access roads were closed so we had to use the car train.

It isn't a queue, I was at the front of the wagon and the cars behind are just filling the wagon.

Yep like what you have done their OP, ignore the negatives it works.
To be honest, I do my cars for me.

Will always post pics and build threads just in case some are interested.....whether anyone likes the results or not doesn't really matter smile

If we all liked the same things, life would be fairly boring smile

That looks great!

What happened to the wing for the back?
Short version of a long story,

It had an argument with my garage door, it lost.

Had it repaired and refitted it, 3 of the 4 mounting points broke soon after so it got binned.

Not sure it needs one now however, if the thoughts on that change, a Ph2 Trophy spoiler might get looked at.

Love it! Is it an old clio v6 trophy livery?
Colour scheme is based on the Catalunya car. Just chosen graphite colour instead of black.

Decal design and layout is purely personal choice.

Well, talking of wings.

Found out where to get a mounting base for the Trophy spoiler. It's now solid and not the flimsy thing it used to be.

Livery looks great, you missed an S at the end of the cigarette brand on the back of the car tho, GauloiseS. If done on purpose I apologise.
Well spotted that man.

Wasn't done on purpose at all, a genuine error.

Thank you for pointing it out, will get them changed.

I agree, the livery looks great.
I think a nice V6 XXX private plate would be a nice touch.
Not the worlds biggest fan of private plates tbh.

Inherited one on a previous car and always planned on reverting it back to its original VRN but never got around to it.

Excellent choice!

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the effects of reduced unsprung weight.

They must have cost a pretty penny
Cheers.

As soon as they're with me tyres will go on along with the tyre decals.

They'll go on the car for a test fit and maybe a pic or two smile.

Won't see the road until Spring at the earliest though.

I've only just seen this thread, just read it all. There is something about these that just puts a huge child like smile my face.... Probably the last 'wacky' car i remember Renault making.

The Livery vinyls suit the car perfectly, if you don't mind me asking..... what company did you use? I have an idea for one of my vehicles in the future and i'm a bit particular how i want them doing.
Apologies but don't get here that often so have only just seen this.

The grey wrap was done by Blueprint in Notts and they made a great job. Have been asked a few times if it's paint.

The decals and their layout was decided between myself and the detailer guy who looks after all the cosmetic stuff on the car. The decals were made by a mate of his and they took us about 2 days to apply....he's a bit fussy and doesn't rush, not a bad thing though.

Anyhow, car's back in with him now. Decals applied to tyres, brake cooling ducts fitted, no way am I going to need brake cooling but, if building a sort of Trophy rep, they need to be on.

Was palnned to be done Fri pm and Sat but we ran out of time so wheels will go on tomorrow, he'll put some sealant stuff on the car and that'll be it until Spring work wise.

Wheels were sealed with gTech EXO as apparently a few problems have been occurring with the C5 stuff.
