Long story short. woke up to a flat tyre this morning' When i got to the garage whipped the wheel off squirted with soap to find the leak and it was where the rim had been sealed when built back up.

Plan was to take it to the place that orignaly fitted the tyres as they never made on mark' Take the tyre off' I'd nip the bolts up and put some more seal where the dish meets and should do the trick.

Instead of paying the inlaw contacted some one who he knows in Phillidelphia and he said he would do it for a favour. he was explained to what they where etc and he said yeah!

Took it there young lad and the fella who he spoke to was there. said i wanted the tyre off so i can sort the rim and then back on. He insisted take the tyre off strip the bolts and dismantle the wheel re'seal and build back up. Told him i didnt want that and didnt want the rims damaged' Either dishes. Bolts or paint work. but he insisted so said they are an expensive set of rims dont want them messed up in any way and he still insisted so said right aslong as they dont end up damaged.

Later this after noon MRS went to pick it up' i said if its damaged one way or another dont accept it back. she came back with the wheel. looked at it and really not happy :@

1 - They used white sealer as you can see in the pictures and sticks out like a sore thumb

2 - When redoing the bolts they have manage to lift the paint' which i didnt manage this on any of the 4 when building up and god knows how they did.

3 - around some bolts the paint is now missing and most likely to lift at some point causing more to peel

any advise on how i can some sort of tidy them up or repair this. Gutted as felt like i was getting somewhere. frown

So now it needs to be split for defo. so the paint work is going to get worse for sure and going to need repainting. The inlaw has big contract with haulage companies etc and usually deals with this company for tyres etc he says he wont be using them again and speaking to friends of the haulage company and other and neither will they out of principle. so looks like im just going to bite my tongue and sort it myself. What a ball ache for nothing frown

Well, with any luck, they've just cost themselves a considerable amount of business by the sounds of it! So every cloud, and all that! Lol.

not bad. previously had a 240BHP Leon cupra. say its the same as that around the doors and better on a long run. stick £20 and get around 83 miles until the petrol light comes on

I borrowed one in 2007, I brimmed at the local petrol station a few yards around the corner replacing the fuel I'd used and that was £27 for 90 miles of normal driving with about 2/3rds of it being NS dual carriageway in 5th and 6th. It wasn't mine so I wasn't driving quickly or pushing it.

I've helped put some brighter bulbs in a V6 TDi and that induction plumbing on the left had to come out, but the illumination after dark was worth the faff. smile

Update

Been on the phone to them this morning. long story short. not accepting the blame. willing to sort out the wheel wobble. tried to tell me the wheels have been painted with the bolts masked off thats why they like that. what a fking idiot.

Mod note: Please don't name and shame on PH.

Surely he has to name and shame so no one else on here, potentially, gets stung by them?

As do I.
Even if said company were to throw the teddy out the pram, how could PH be held liable?

Looks smart, what's the performance like, is it on par with an E46 330ci or Mondeo ST220?

The placebo effect. People will always say smoothly engine revs, remap power band but for the money an electric supercharger.

I would say add octane booster.

to be fair it has made alot more difference. and mostly noticably in the mid rev range. not getting into a classic piston heads argument' trust me theres alot of difference
