Fair enough. I work close to great roads though. I have walked 2.9 miles before, but dislike it unless I have my iPod to keep me entertained.
I still change my ideal first car daily but hopefully it will not be long until I have a thread of my own.
Looking forward to seeing what you buy, i did not expect to get a Punto, it is interesting buying your first car you could end up with something which you had not considered yet think to yourself "why did i not think of this in the first place".I still change my ideal first car daily but hopefully it will not be long until I have a thread of my own.

The Panda (and I imagine Adams Punto since they share the same engine) don't exactly sip fuel. On a side note, Adam what sort of figures are you seeing from your Punto? The Panda generally gets around 35-36mpg town when being driven in town and the highest I've ever had it is 40mpg.
I average about 38 mpg, even if i cane it i can still achieve mid 20's, drive like a nun and 42mpg is achievable. I would not expect it to be brilliant on fuel, it is an old engine, dates back to the mid-late 90's so it is hardly refined for fuel economy. Sounds good though.
