I'm guessing:
A8
760
some American thing
An old AMG.
Seems a really odd competition to state it's worth £30k when that's neither its new or current price. Where does that figure come from do you think?
Your target audience may be sceptical if you say win a 100k car. A8

30k sounds wow but also believable.
However, maybe they felt they could 'get away' with putting 30k on as it's only stretching it Abit for a car worth 100 new?!?!
Out of interest, where has the gulf come from? Did you enter thinking you were getting say, a porsche that would be £30k by most peoples estimation, and it's been replaced with a cadillac escalade worth £5-10k?
Or is it that it's still the porsche you expected (not 6.0 V8 I know) except 10 years older and with no interior?
Where did the £30k come from? Was it in their marketing material "Win this £30,000 car!"?

When they did the live draw, they said the lucky winner (me) has won a (car name) worth about £30 grand - congratulations! the (car name) will be on its way to youOr is it that it's still the porsche you expected (not 6.0 V8 I know) except 10 years older and with no interior?

During the promotion, they had pictures of what 'type' of car it was, and 'sort of' alluded to it being 10 years old - rather than 16 years old.

Gotta say, you's are getting way too close and are way too good at finding out what car it is.
Someone has got it right already but please forgive me, I can't really say until Wed. How on earth you's managed to get the answer from so little info is quite worrying TBH!!!
Why does it matter when you tell us? Someone has got it right already but please forgive me, I can't really say until Wed. How on earth you's managed to get the answer from so little info is quite worrying TBH!!!

Sounds very odd that a major brand should promote a prize of a second hand car!
The key is whether you were attracted to the competition on the basis of the prize being worth £30k - in other words, this is stated clearly in the promotional bumf - or does the advertising state the prize being worth £30k when new?
Regardless of the T&Cs, I would have thought that if the prize won isn't the prize offered then you do have some rights to remedy but you need to satisfy yourself that the advertising that attracted you to the draw was incorrect or deliberately misrepresented what the prize would be.
Yes, I certainly thought the prize was a much higher value and you could say that it was promoted as such. However, it was free to enter. You had to answer a question (which it wouldn't have been possible to know the answer to) and those that guessed correctly, all names went into a hat. Then the draw was broadcast live on social media. The key is whether you were attracted to the competition on the basis of the prize being worth £30k - in other words, this is stated clearly in the promotional bumf - or does the advertising state the prize being worth £30k when new?

Lots of people entered, lots of people watched the draw and then they said what the car was worth - £30k. Which is pretty much in line with what you would think a used one would be (but not, as it turns out, one that is a fair bit older than my teenage son!)
Sounds like they've covered the 'skill' angle but I would be interested to know how they determined the value of the car; what was the benchmark or reference they used.
Whilst you've won something, you are right to feel aggrieved as your day was interrupted by the opportunity to win something but what you won is entirely different to what was promoted and may have meant you original desire to enter would have been less or non-existent had you known at the time.
And given what sounds like a car nearer to the end of its natural life than the beginning, you could have won a heap of garage bills and headaches.
