I'd also say that if your keeping the standard alloys then I'd suggest adding some spacers to get them filling the arches .
Agree and I have 25mm spacers all round on mine. It is a small thing to do, but it does make a big difference I reckon. shalmaneser said:
Is that your dad's C4S?
Black roof looks great, agree the rear wiper has to go (I have one on my 996 too, have just ordered the plug to allow me to remove it!)
Yeah that’s his, it’s slowly turning into quite the weapon - new exhaust and induction kit means it’s running approx. 350bhp, and his plan is to treat it to some proper adjustable coilovers/dampers plus a full engine rebuild where it’ll probably end up getting bored out for more power! That’s looks great. I’ve always been tempted to do this on my 350 but concerned that it may damage the paint beneath when it comes to removing it.
With modern, good quality vinyl that’s applied properly there’s no risk of paint damage at all. Providing you remove it properly too!So the track day pretty much finished off the front discs and pads, plus I’m fairly certain a disc was a little warped as there was a noticeable judder when braking. Time for a brake upgrade!
I went for EBC Ultimax discs and Redstuff pads. I also went for black coated discs; the pads wear the coating off the braking area within a few miles of use and you’re left with a nicely finished disc that will never develop any rusty areas. Makes such a difference not seeing a big rusty hub behind the wheel.
Old vs new
After going for a test drive the pads had successfully worn the coating off
Brake judder/vibration is completely gone, and I’m looking forward to seeing the increased braking performance once the pads are properly bedded in.

The section of the front bumper has now been wrapped in satin black, looks bloody marvellous! Satin black rather than gloss helps it blend in with the black plastic parts of the front bumper.
Vinyl application was a bit tricky on such a shaped area, but we managed it with a little help from the heat gun.

Not sure if you've seen this. I found it really interesting (i don't even have a Z car of any type). Comparisons of cheap parts Vs top of the range stuff all on a pair of 350z's.
