How have I missed this?! Great thread.

As others, your car at a PH do pushed me over the edge with Alpine and prompted me to order one too.

Great colour on the Ioniq 5, not sure I have seen it before. A friend has one, and I must admit I laughed at the boot size (as we have a 4-year-old, go on holiday fully loaded, etc). We ended up getting a Skoda Enyaq, which weirdly also replaced a Skoda Superb 280 (L&K Hatch).

I'd say it's definitely a hatchback and not an SUV, just a super sized hatch.
This argument holds water until you stand next to one, they're bloody huge hehe

Still, it's hatchback enough that I don't hate seeing it on the drive.

I like the Ioniq5. Nearly bought a Project 45 but the seller turned out to be a bit of a rat.
Ahhh, that's a shame. I can recommend them, very civilised things.

Thanks TX, I appreciate that! Every time I drive it I love it more, there really isn't anything else quite like it on the road. And the best bit is that while I have this long long list of mods for it, they're really just me being a tart, they're not actually needed in any way.

It's so incredibly bad for the size of the car. A mate in Ireland has an Enyaq, They're pretty smart looking things in some spec! They're also one of these cars that's almost not an SUV, sort of a lifted estate. That's me grasping at straws a little, lol.

The Superb was, possibly, objectively the best car I'll ever own. Fast, comfortable, quiet, huge, and relatively cheap to run. Unfortunately, albeit expectedly, it had less than zero personality, and so I never really bonded with it.

I really, really wanted another AMG estate, but I just couldn't make the fuel cost work.

Love the Alpine, and a C63 would make the perfect 2-car stable. The Bi-turbos have dropped a lot in recent years, I found it to be just as characterful as the 6.2 with better economy wink

I didn’t realise the Ioniq 5 was lacking in boot space. Currently weighing up one of these or a Model 3 to replace the family X1/run around.

Seen on instagram that you visited the new caffeine and machine in Hampshire.
I plan on popping up during the day on Wednesday to check it out - what are your thoughts mate?
Love this thread and your cars (I like the look of the ioniq too)

Stunning car photography Alex, and I really enjoyed the video too.

I think you might have the most perfect looking A110 in existence smile

I love them, if/when I finally get bored of changing gears, an A110 will be very high on my list.

The Model 3 is objectively a fantastic car, with one of the best possible charging networks. It'll go further and charge easier, at the expense of some quality. I think the Ioniq 5 is a little more interesting, but then I do have the luxury of being able to make compromises for having the more interesting car, what with not having kids and all that kinda stuff.

It's good, and thanks for the kind comments! I'll be there a fair bit I think, it's a lovely interior space and they're working on the car park, they've been super unlucky with the weather given that most of the overflow parking is on grass, and most grass is saturated after the last few months.

They're absolutely excellent cars, thank you very much indeed.

The aim, although it's slightly big headed of me, is to have the definitive road and track A110. I want people to know about my car when they get into the A110 scene and think to themselves, I wish my car looked like that.

Of course, that's never actually going to happen, because I'm a bit of a hipster weirdo that's going to end up doing things to the car that not everyone agrees with, but for now I'm doing alright!

The A110 is a beautiful original design, and lends itself well to tasteful tuning. I prefer yours to the R!

You've got great taste, the car is a credit to you smile

Ioniq 5 x Rotiform by Alex D, on Flickr

If you squint, it sort of looks like a fat Lancia Delta. I'm really, really happy with how it sits.

Thanks gents! I rather like the plate too, although it suited my previous car even better as it was actually a 65 plate hehe

Sadly, I have ruined it by lowering it, the springs aren’t stiff enough to stop it blowing through it’s travel and hitting the bump stops on almost every bump and pothole.

It’s not the end of the world, it’s mostly just a commuting car, but I might have to change it in future if my other half is driving it more hehe

Loving the wheels on the 5

Still enjoying the A110>, I can't seem to stop spending on mine - possibly trying to achieve the perfect car (for me) but law of diminishing returns is setting in
