Still getting the VR turbo'd or have you even more bonkers plans for it now Gary? It Was/still is a pretty formidable weapon back then!!

Since having the idea of turboing the VR6 I was out of work for a while, so sold all the bits. Probably stick with the 12v VR6 with my 268 cams etc.

I have had all sorts of ideas such as a TDI PD130, a 5 pot 850 Volvo TDI lump (VW) 24V 4Motion lump... probably stick with what I know for simplicity.

Needs a good scrub, MOT & service, engine fitting and what whatever else I find along the way.

I always loved your car when my days were spent on Club GTI. I think in May I might well return to the land of mk2 Golf ownership. I've owned much better and faster things lately, but I still miss mk2 Golfs for some reason.

Just had a quick read through this, and it's fking awesome. I love the gear change set up!!
Don't suppose you know of anywhere that can set up the tracking on a low mk2?
