First stage of mapping went well, feels pretty good for low boost, we could not get a clean run on the dyno, just kept wheel spinng on the rollers, charlie and ryan think its about 740bhp and 600ftlb at 1.1bar.

Booked a hub dyno for next week to try a little more boost and no problems with wheel spin.

A little speedo clip for you from today.

Not really my thing but you know what, that is a seriously impressively piece of kit, that YouTube video is savage.

Double props to you as well for keeping the rest of the car looking standard inside and out, show the Barrys how it's done properly!

Depends what pump fuel will push, also see how far i can go on the 1000cc injectors, im at 75% duty now so not much left in them, might get to 1.6 bar, could well have to upgrade the injectors.

Will know more next week.

Hey guys,

I need some more power, the car previously had 730 bhp and i have got very use to it and now needing more.

Dropped the car back in the safe hands of Lee at SRD sunday for a few updates, swapping things about a bit.

Love the the car mate, and 1000-Bhp sound like fun. Could I ask you a favour, do you have anymore footage of the Bugatti Veyron video as I would love to see what happened.

Jamie, what is the redline now at ? It sounds like it revs quite a lot higher than the last engine, is this what you needed for the extra boost and power?

By the way, how is the gearbox, drive shafts, etc, coping with all this?

Redline was 7200rpm on the old engine, its now set at 8100rpm on the new engine, extra revs are nice with the bigger turbo, i use to hit full boost at 3300rpm with the old setup, now im getting full boost at 3900rpm, with the bigger rev limit i have a larger powerband than before still.

Anyone tells you turbos this size are not streetable is wrong, this is devastating on the street.

Box and drive shafts will be fine, plenty of people pushing a lot more power than me with no problems, stock prop is know to twist sometimes on hard drag starts but i have three spares so not a problem.

Stock box, it will handle anything i can chuck at it with ease, some of the yanks are running around 2000bhp with stock gearbox's, 6 speed getrag is strong.

Fantastic - I take it by comparison the R35 is no where near as tunable? I havent heard of many people pushing that power through one of their gearboxes biggrin

Amazing bit of kit, great work on the interior - I love the look.

How do you find real world driving in terms of MPG? If you keep the power down, do you get reasonable MPG? By that I mean driving less than 3,000 rpm.

Off boost the mpg is just like any other 3.0L engine, does about 20mpg id guess, im not interested in a R35 after seeing what happened to my mates one, but thats not for talking about in this thread.

Jamie, great work and must be a lot of fun.

I understand you may not answer this, but if you dont mind, whats the cost (excluding the car) to get it from standard to c.1000 bhp?

And what does your insurance company think?!
