The last truly special M car.

It will look good with those wheels.
I like to think so. Iirc it is the only M car to not be based on another normal engine.

Yeah I can't wait til they arrive and fitted.

Those wheels are really nice, they’ll look great on your car.

Has that spoiler been fitted yet?
Cheers, I have seen similar and they definitely suit it.

Spoiler not on yet, that'll be after Xmas. I got a partial refund for the chip so all is good.

Slight issue with my brake choice though. I was hoping to use my f10 M5 calipers with the e60 374mm discs as I was told that the pad height was the same, but it doesn't seem to be. So I have a few options.

Use the 405mm discs from the f10, as long as everything fits with my new wheels (405mm on 19s fit style 166 and 345, but the inner barrel may be different on the new wheels).

Get rotors and bells the right size.

Buy a 380/390mm AP racing kit.

Read all of the original post and just can't believe how dodgy the original garage were. Very glad you kept on and got the thing going. I remembering being a passenger in one of these at bruntingthorpe and it was very special.

I'd love to have a manual one of these at some stage but as I've got a Z4M I was thinking of trying something else.

Yeah I was properly tucked up, but c'est le vie.

There is a place in the UK who does manual conversions for these if you do ever decide to take the plunge.

I've sold the calipers that I was going to use as they won't fit under my new wheels. I am going down the AP Racing route. More £££s but worth it I reckon.

I remember getting my BBS wheels in 2017, they weren't new, but as new (Still in boxes and virtually unmarked). Just wish i'd known about Poorboys wheel sealent!

Would recommend you give them a good coating of that or your prefered wheel polish before they go on smile Good choice of design, should look great on the car.

Cheers! Yes I am planning on using some FinishKare paste wax that I have, it's good for high temps.

First wheel I have unboxed.

They look ace. When are they getting fitted?

With regards to coatings, I’ve been really impressed with GTechniq wheel armour on mine.

This week hopefully. I'm going to have to get them fitted, then take them off at the weekend weather permitting and get them sorted. I don't have spare tyres and I have been told to "seal" them after tyres have been fitted.

I bought some AG's for my old M3, what a fking nightmare they were and were basically the reason I sold the car. Hemorrhaged cash on new brakes, tires, multiple attempts to have them balanced including that road force balance thing. Eventually took them off and had the originals refurbed, problem solved.

Hope you're one of the many people who have no issues with them at all be interesting to see them on an M5

I know a few people who have had them on E60 M5s and not had any issues, time will tell I suppose.

I cannot wait until they're on.

Spent several hours sealing the wheels with FinishKare high temperature wax. So smooth and shiny. It's almost a shame to fit them to the car!

That’s going to look so good on your car, the colour combo will be absolutely spot on. At this stage you will notice when you start parking again you will need an Uber to the kerb biglaugh
