At the risk of getting myself a whoosh parrot, the only Rover you could convert a Range Rover into would be a P4. P5 and P6 were unibody.
Anyway, judging by how many chassis this thread has gone through already, by the time the finished article emerges, it'll be based on a Ford F-650...
Well I must be in touch with my feminine side, as I reserve the right to change my mind............Anyway, judging by how many chassis this thread has gone through already, by the time the finished article emerges, it'll be based on a Ford F-650...

Now, back out to that man-cave and get building.

Would you want to restore this to the original?

Sometime when a car is modified it can create a piece of history in it's own right (not saying that my effort will be in that class though).

Nah, taxis aren't rare, there are enough preserved. Presume the engines came from Jag XJ40s/X300s. Also sad to see a Xantia stacked on top of a 405 in the scrapyard.
im starting to think that if you won the lottery and had a massive shed you would be in some serious trouble!!!Yeah, I wish I had the funds and a bloody enormous warehouse (floor space measured in square miles rather than square feet) to save some representative examples of enjoyable everyday machinery, especially from that last golden era of the 90s and early 2000s. I'd then rent them out for people to enjoy - no use keeping them all to myself.
