That looks great, the dished wheels really make it look something special, something worth spending a fortune on owning ;-)
Cheers! Fortune after fortune lol. The new brakes will end up costing me £2500 Court_S said:
They look ace on the car
When is the new spoiler getting fitted?
Cheers! It'll be getting done when we are allowed out again, though I suspect I'll end up in Tier 7, where we can only look out of our windows when standing on one leg while reciting the complete works of Shakespeare, patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time. When is the new spoiler getting fitted?
Wheels look great (I think that's been established already )
Is the ride height adjustable? Not that it's relevant, but to my taste the rear could go up maybe 10mm (might just be the angle / shadow though), just to even out the arch to wheel spacing, I think it'd help accentuate the chunkiness of the rear tyres (which look great as well)
I'm really fussy with ride height though and do like a bit of rake
Fingers crossed Santa is dropping a well sanitised supercharger down the chimney

I think I may be having second thoughts on the wheels Is the ride height adjustable? No it's not adjustable, it's been lowered on springs. I'd need to buy coilovers and right now the wallet is a little bare. I have found that the tyres catch the arch a little bit on bumps and speed bumps when I go a little too quick over them, but I have 103y tyres on rather than 99y, which makes them look a bit more meaty. I will be due tyres soon so I am going to go back to 99y.
haha, I wish, plus I don't have a chimney!

The rears are not on spacers. I have 103y tyres on the rear which is not helping. When I get some 99y then it will be fine.
Won't be any car updates for a few weeks now, tested positive for the Rona yesterday.
Get well soon ! And know that your stoic attitude to misfortune and persistence in making your E60 work is much admired. The rears are not on spacers. I have 103y tyres on the rear which is not helping. When I get some 99y then it will be fine.

Hope you don't suffer with it; fingers crossed it passes easy enough
Having had a bit of a mare with covid, thankfully not requiring hospitalisation, I am back. However, covid appears to have robbed me of my love of cars, as currently I have zero desire to do anything with the car. I am going to sell the Skoda and perhaps even look at part exchanging my M5 with something less interesting, but cheaper to run etc. It's an odd feeling not being interested in cars having had an interest for around 30 years.
I don't remember reading it as a symptom of covid, but perhaps a new one to add to the list?

I have the same thoughts and i have done the same recently, but I've not had covid so maybe it's just a 2020 symptom. I don't remember reading it as a symptom of covid, but perhaps a new one to add to the list?
Try motorbikes, worked for me, can't get enough of them

Will come back, I had a recurring foot problem and when it happened there was nothing I wanted to do other than get rid of the pain, nothing I normally did or was interested in was in any way appealing, it feels permanent but it really isnt, you will regain your former vigour and interest.I don't remember reading it as a symptom of covid, but perhaps a new one to add to the list?

I'm glad you're over the worst of the illness, might be worth SORNing the M5 for a few months and see how you feel about it in spring? More chance of being able to drive it somewhere by then too ;-)Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
