A local Arnold Clark had a 695 Biposto in the other week for £18k with only 13000 miles on it. Was very tempted to buy it to replace the stolen M3, but I fannied around thinking about it and it sold!

To be fair it would have been used to potter about quite a bit and that would probably have been a waste.

£18k for a Biposto???? It wasn’t a 695 tributo was it? That’s extraordinarily cheap for a biposto, they normally kick out at around £40k.

Good to see you back, sorry to hear about the unfortunate losses that you have had of people around you.

The pista looks an awesome spec and the 812SF are mega! I can’t even imagine what they must go like, I have just changed to a Jag XFR and the mid range on that is bonkers so what these super cars must be like is mind blowing!!
Thanks Carlos.
It’s just a bit overwhelming with a fair few friends with cancer lately. I guess I’m just getting to age where this happens. My best friends MIL has got a stage 4 brain tumour and I know someone else who’s friend is suffering with the same.
Good shout with the XFR, don’t know too much about Jags so can’t share in your experience. I’m sure I’ll get to have a blast in it when we meet up in a few months (yes it’ll definitely happen haha)

LFA v CGT in Spring 2019 too? wink

Didn’t realise that the party piece gearbox on the Biposto was a £8500 option!

Edit - cancer is indeed a . Sadly it’s becoming all too common an occurance. It’s gone from 1 in 3 people likely to have it in their lifetime to 1 in 2.

Yeah they are a lovely car but I’d rather an original E-Type lightweight. They’re around the same money however they’re the real deal.
As Jags don’t really hold their money that well though, it’s a car that always has me on the back ropes. They are beautiful though.
An E-Type with an RRP of £3k that's now worth £750,000 hasn't done too bad! smile
True. I was talking about Jags in general. As far as the E type goes though it was a few hundred pound more than a 250 California yet can be picked up for as little as £60k used now.
Adjust for inflation and the E Type was £66k in today’s money, with the Ferrari being £60k, however the 250 California is worth approximately £14m-£18m.

I've had mine a week or so now and have to say its a truly fantastic car
yes you could say the exhaust isn't as good as some other cars - but thats a minor issue
Other than that its hard to fault - it certainly feels way faster than I remember the 488 being and they have dialled back the TC which I thought in Sport and wet was too invasive on the 488

Yeah it’s a cruel fking world. My mates MIL is only 50, she was having headaches from September, then mid January she woke up one morning and just couldn’t see anything. She was rushed to MRI then from there she was transferred to Salford Royal (where I had mine removed) and after a quick scan they decided to remove it before waiting for a biopsy. Turns out it’s stage 4, although they got the little tt, it had infected other parts of her brain. I’m now helping her get the strongest THC oil so we can blast the hell out of whatever is remaining.
That’s just one person I know that’s suffering with cancer. It’s just crap.

'twas a Biposto in grey (no dogbox, not a tributo). Akrapovic and stripped out interior. Nice little thing.

Ah I’ve just found it on Autotrader, thought you was talking about the special edition one like mine (1 of 99). I was gonna say!! I paid £42k for mine, was just gonna have a little cry then haha.

you either like Doug or you dont, but i found it interesting what he has to say about the Pista considering how many car's like it he has driven before.

I paraphrase but he says "I was expecting to be a bit meh at yet another limited edition Ferrari, but i ended up loving this thing as one of the best cars there is"

you may have nodded off before that point smile

Took delivery of my DB2/4 yesterday after a year long restoration for the engine to seize after 2 miles. That’s me and my brother pushing it in my new place.
Also had some new wheels put on my DB5 and a bit of a tune up, for it to be returned to me with a massive chunk taken out of the bonnet. Turns out a mechanic at Aston Martin Works Hertiage Centre slipped with a screwdriver. And yeah, they returned it to me like that even though they knew about it!!!
So the DB2/4 is going back and I’m getting a refund, then my DB5 will go back AGAIN for them to fix their screw up. In the 14 months I’ve had the DB5 it’s gone back 4 times. I’ve actually only had the car for 1 month and only had the (somewhat) pleasure of driving it for a totally of about 90 minutes.

You’re just going to return the DB2? Not get them to sort the engine?

Shame really, 2 great looking cars.
