So I hadn't heard anything since Tuesday. Considering they're shut on Friday and I wanted to collect the car Saturday, which means that it'd need to have been done by this evening.

I messaged them just after midday today. It is now gone 8pm. I have heard nothing.

I don't even know what to think now or how to feel about the whole situation now. I can at least say I am beyond fed up.

Really feel for you with this palaver Ross; you've every right to be frustrated

Fingers crossed you get an update in the morning

They don't work on Fridays, so I'm not hopeful.

Well it's still a bit of a mystery.... Maybe.

KYCS saying it looks like the rear sensor is on thr wrong way. They don't have a proper lift etc so don't have good access to it, and have had to order some lifting equipment in. That was Friday night they told me.

Still heard nothing since. Flipping the sensor is a 10min job and, I believe, can be done fairly easily by removing a wheel. Could it be the problem? Looking online, yes. But we'll see.

If I hear nothing by maybe 4pm or so tomorrow I'll message them. I've made it clear I really would like the car back this weekend, but I absolutely NEED it back the weekend after that as I need to do some travelling, and I'm currently without a car.

They don't, I know that for sure, they mentioned it some time ago. They only deal with headlights and don't do mechanical stuff.

Lets hope they get this sorted Ross

As you said it's an easy 10min job inc. taking the wheels off; exactly what I did to my E39 touring on the drive...

It's a bit of a faff for the rears but you can do it with just a jack (much easier with a lift).

It certainly isn't the first time this has happened after a suspension refresh judging by all the posts on the U.S forums.

So, an update.... And bit of an odd one

No idea why it won't go on "correctly" but they also sent this video

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xz1NXfsQbmhEKsQOS...

Hopefully they'll get it sorted and if I'm lucky I can collect Saturday.

Here's a photo of the levelling arm that I took before I refurbished the subframe. I noted that it was a quite fiddly so took a photo so I knew how to reattach it.

In my case the plastic rod was seized at both ends which was preventing movement. The ends of the rod are supposed to be little ball joints but my car had been left parked up for a year by the previous owner so it got filled with rust.

It's easy to get to, just need to remove the rear passenger side wheel. Sounds like a fkup made by the garage that did the rear end work.

Another photo of it out of the car. You can see that once broken down into it's 4 constituent parts it's a bit of a puzzle to reassemble so make sure all the bits are oriented correctly.

Look very similar to the E39 ones...

Popped the plastic arm off; cleaned the ball joints with WD40 and Wurth Rost Off; liberally doused them in lithium grease (once the Wurth have evaporated etc) and clicked them back together

If they're telling the truth, which I'm inclined to think they are now, then this will not be the issue.

So is it possible to mount the sensor at an incorrect angle?

Thanks! I feel like we're getting there. Slowly!

It could be butchered on; but they should sit in a shallow groove and fit only that way really

Thanks Dan and Ben. Hopefully I'll hear something else later. They're open until quite late tonight so fingers crossed they can continue plugging away at it and sussing it out.

As I'm sure you can all understand I'm properly peeved with the whole debacle now. I REALLY hope I can get the car back this Saturday.
