Why are you changing it?

I’m tempted to do mine when I have another go at the brakes incase it is part of the issue.

Are you keeping this one? Seems superfluous now?

It's got a sticky clutch pedal. So if I'm changing gear higher up the rev range then the clutch pedal doesn't want to return so I have to give it a nudge with my toes.

Not really sure. There are a few jobs I have been putting off. So I will get on with these now because if I do decide to sell it then I wont be trying to sell a turd.

Looks like I bought the wrong part. I bought the brake master cylinder which isn't correct. There is a separate clutch master cylinder. So I have now ordered one of those also.

What's the issue with your brakes?

They’re just a bit st on track, more pressure on the pedal doesn’t result in slowing much more. Going to try different pads, lines, fluid and was thinking while it’s doing a complete fluid change I may as well do the master cylinder as it costs about the same as another fluid change.

Which brake master did you get? If you can’t return its not a genuine £500 Porsche one I’ll buy it from you if that helps?

I can probably return it but I'm wandering whether to just fit it anyway. Only cost me 104 quid. It's made by Pagid. On the top of my pile in the blue box.

I am surprised at how low your mileage is between MOT’s, I feel like i see pictures of it in daily use but it has done less than my car that I feel like I barely use!

Fair

It's fighting for my attention against 4 other cars. Maybe I just take pics everytime I do use it.

Drivers door handle has not worked for a while - the one on the outside. The inside one still works so I have to drop the window and use the inside handle to get in the car. Not sure how to fix that but whipped the door panel off anyway. It was a little bit damp on the bottom so it's now drying on the rad. If anyone knows how to fix the outside door handle please let me know.

I also tried to whip the passenger door panel off too but I was beaten but a grumpy screw. I round I rounded the top so the screw driver just spins round. It's rhe one in the centre of the door bin. Tried brute force but couldn't budge it - as in hoping to snap off panel itself. I guess it needs drilling out now. I don't own a drill so I'll need to recruit an assistant. I wanted to change the door lock mechanism on this side. I already bought some vw part recommended by the forums. The part has been sat around for about 2 years waiting to go on. The problem with the passenger side is occasionally both door handles just stop working at the same time. So the door will not open at all. Last time it happened I had a passenger in the car so he had to climb over to get out of my side.

Eastern European acid bath used to be 3 quid pre covid. Now it's 5 quid. That's inflation.
