Well now, I'd like to ask you dear readers, what would you do if a supposed main dealer charged you £89 to do your wheel alignment, you felt it was still wrong, took your car to another place and when they put it on their equipment it showed this????
And when the new place started to make the adjustments discovered that the rear passenger side adjuster was seized solid!!!
I will be going back to the original garage and asking them to explain what they actually did, I shall of course try my best to remain calm, but I'm confident that not only will I get nowhere but it will end in me losing my rag.

Well, the visit to the main dealer went better than expected, although they did magically find a printout of the tracking results from when they did it on the 8th, which is interesting as I wasn't given a printout at the time!!!
They tried to tell me that the readout I had wasn't that bad and that obviously having new tyres fitted had made the difference far more exaggerated.........
But they did offer me a 50% refund as a gesture of good will, which I accepted as it basically paid for the second lot of tracking I had done.
ION parts they is arriving, in readiness for a service on Rio, and an interim oil and filter change on Peanut, this will be the first time I've got my hands dirty on Peanut!!!

Well, nothing as it happens, I came very close to smashing a screwdriver through the oil filter in Peanut as she'd become overly attached to the old one, but much, much, much swearing, struggling, teeth gnashing, arm mutilating and filter crushing later I got the bloody thing out!!!!
This is what a filter looks like after a pair of filter pliers is clamped around it and a fat bloke with anger issues convinces it to come undone!!!
So that's both cars having an oil filter and oil changed, and Rio also having a new fuel filter housing and filter!!!
Both cars up on axle stands ready!!
5L of Castrol Magnatec in each, new filter in each, new sump bolt in each!!!
Rio goes in for his MOT tomorrow which I know he'll fail as one headlight is out of alignment, and I'm worried about the oil leak on the drivers side of the engine, we'll see how it goes!!!

Well I don't know how to tell you this but, my journey with Rio has come to an end.
I'd been considering changing him for a while, test drove a couple of different cars, including a n/a 5.0 V8 Jjaaaaaaaggggg XF, which went well, sounded amazing but was just too big and wallowy for me.
I just couldn't make up my mind what to do, then I spotted a Mini Cooper S Clubman on Autotrader in Lymington, not too far from us, went and had test drive last Saturday and, well, this happened yesterday.
I don't know what to do with the thread, whether to continue it and just add Ivor, oh, that's his name by the way, on account of being Ivory white, as I have plans for him, he's not perfect but is in very good condition, and I'd really like to iron out all the little marks he has, and yes, there will probably be some upgrades coming too!!!
So if people are interested then I'll add him here, if not then I may start his own thread.

F55 for a Clubman, yeah I'm aware of the horror stories, but I work with a couple of people who own them and they've not had problems, also found a BMW mini specialist not far from us!!!That looks really nice as well. The lines of the car work well in an estate I think.
