1000 miles done over the weekend.

48.7mpg.

Can't complain at that.

298k done!

Also I have no idea what’s gotten into it.

Over the last 4 years I’ve seen 500 miles a tank plus or minus 10 miles.

This last tank it did 572 with 20 mile showing remaining! Knocking on for 50mpg! This wasn’t on long runs either.

Such a great thread and effort. Epic is really appropriate, well done OP, you’ve really looked after this special car.
It’s tried its best to die since I got it:

Engine going
Front springs snapping
High pressure fuel pump dying and taking the injectors with it
Then I hydrolocked it
Followed by a near terminal coolant leak

Still troops on though.

lovely dials on this epic car ,, so much better than teh digital dashes we get now
The new digital Alpina dials are sadly quite ugly.

Where as these have some pride in them, esp with allowing the VDO logo to be displayed.

299312 miles and it’s back on the ramps.

Sounds like it needs rear gearbox mounts.

After poking around, I look to have one engine mount that’s a bit down too.

What has happened to the Yaris?
I’m using it for work today.

I don’t have much love for it.
