I did toy with cams at the same time, but TBH unless I now get larger injectors, smaller pulley and a lot more messing around, I won't really get any more power!
Yes, a somewhat unnecessary expense in a charged car! Whereas I’m chasing a monster 10bhp gain..
NA tuning is, er, fun?! hehe

Another winter rolls around, no major changes or plans with the civic but I have finally decided it has to go in the garage, by hook or by crook.

So I’ve packed up everything out of the garage, moved it all to a storage unit….

(That’s a steering wheel I’m going to recover this winter)

The garage is all cleared out, but, as I already knew, the car doesn’t fit….

As you can see, the car just overhangs the first course of bricks, so with some measuring and ‘that should do’ we have cut back the render, in anticipation of fitting a roller door which is being ordered on Monday. This should land right about here…

Doesn’t matter if it’s an inch or a mile. If it fits, it fits!

Garage front currently looks a mess….

The front of the car is currently disassembled for cleaning, headlights going for a refurb and I need to replace some of the supercharger oil feed pipes as well. Fun fun fun.

More to come!

Yes it does drive well and looks great too, in a special colour called Boulanger Blue. It’s a bit long though, find myself parking as far away from people as possible….

In civic news, I have taken the headlights off as these desperately need a refurb, they are going off for a rub down and a re lacquer.

It’s looking a bit sorry for itself at the moment…

So on goes the car cover while we sort the garage!

Why are you thinking about a turbo over the S/C install on the car ?

You know you will be black listed by the old school Honda boys for saying such things smile
Sorry matey, don’t know how I missed this.

I’ve done a lot of wrestling with the idea over the winter but I have decided to stick with the supercharger, I am going to do a couple of bits to improve the setup I think. I don’t want a huge amount more power, but a little more wouldn’t hurt.

So I’ve decided I am going to get the supercharger rebuilt with a T2 upgrade, this basically means I can run more boost with the same revs, I’m also upgrading to RC1000 injectors as my 650’s are pretty much maxed out.

I need to replace all the oil lines for the supercharger so I’m going to get cracking on that. I stil have the engine mount inserts (I will get new mounts to go on with these) and the rear suspension mounts as well. Lots to do!

I did recently pick up a replacement Spoon mirror glass after cracking mine…

As you can see, the car is still where it was, I’m trying not to stack too much crap up around it!!

I’m planning to tidy and sort the garage this year, a friend of mine put me onto a guy who designs and prints custom banners, so I thought I’d have one for the wall.

So, yes, progress to come, no rush anymore as I’m happy it’s not deteriorating sat in a nice warm garage!

Yeah, I'm all about keeping the Honda boys happy hehe

I've stocked up on a few more bits that I need to do, new oil lines for the supercharger, new fuel lines, new clips and a sexy genuine Rotrex in line oil filter.

Hey man,

I am very much a PH lurker these days, but I just wanted to login and say I love when I see your thread bumped with an update.

I am a EP3 owner myself for the past 9 years. It's on the path currently off the road, it's used to be my daily for years, but its just a track car these days.

I have many other cars so its fell down the pecking order. I'll never sell it though as everytime I get back in and drive it I fall in love all over again.

Seeing you update this thread from time to time gives me inspiration, and I love that you keep this thing going after all these years, so thanks, and I appreciate you!
Cheers matey smile

I still love my EP3 and I really don't think I'll ever get rid of it so this thread will just plod along forever hehe

More bits, managed to get hold of some OEM engine mounts for a good deal, these will go in with the Powerflex inserts as my current (21+ year old rubber!) ones are perished.

The inserts fit very, very easily in brand new mounts! Should be nice and easy to fit when they eventually go back in!

Ah cheers! I still love it even though I now haven’t driven it for nearly 6 months!

So glad to have the garage to have it tucked away safely so it doesn’t matter if I don’t really touch it for a while!

It's amazing how time goes by.

It's been 10 years today that I got on the train and collected my EP3...... In that time I've bought a house, had 2 kids, worked my ass off and got a better job and I still have this bloody old Honda hehe

I dug these pictures out of the day I collected it.....

So much has changed in that time, on and off the car, but I'm so glad that I stuck with it.

Now, I have to decide if I stick with the trusty Rotrex setup, or go big and turbo it.... I've made enquiries with fabricators who build turbo setups and I'm leaning that way, but the thought of spending £XXXX's on it does make me feel a bit light headed.

But, a mate of mine has just bought an M4 and the thought of giving him a whipping is tempting hehe

Thanks chaps, It really is still a great bit of kit. I like just looking at it in the garage sometimes silly

I really am still torn whether to stick a turbo on it...... I said if I was starting over again I would have done that rather than the supercharger, the Rotrex thing just really spiralled a bit. I have most of the things to support the turbo, just seems like a lot of work hehe

Dropped the car off for the chain to be done. It's done pretty well getting to 150k on the original chain.

Also decided to change the oil and filter while it was there, Fuchs Titan and HAMP filter.

It certainly is! Jack works there too, and Damian!

IMO its NA or SC for these... Loved my charged DC5; never had a turbo'd Honda; but I've been out in a few and didn't like it at all...

Plus I see more turbo'd Honda's with issues at my pals than any NA/SC powered Honda...

What about reverting back to full NA and maybe a built engine by Clockwise? wink
Yes, I do feel the same way. I honestly don't see how or where I would use another 100+bhp anyway. The 360ish I have really is enough.

I think I'm going to spend some time and money on tidying a few bits up and I'll get the map done again to clean it up and just enjoy it.

More buying of things that I can chuck in the ‘to fit’ pile silly

This is a workman racing shifter cover/trim thing. I’ve got nothing where my hybrid racing shifter is at the moment and saw this on a group buy and thought I would give it a go!

On the pile it goes!!

I got on and fitted the new gear selector trim. Not 100% sold on it, but it tidies it up and a bit and fits well!

I also got on and fitted the new fuel pipe and got tit started for the first time this year silly
