the lane control thing is insane, everyone absolutely hates it and is completely sick of it

some people are starting to even get them mapped out so you don't have to navigate through the menus to disable it
Is this an mg4 comment or just a general new car comment as they all seem to have it!

Not massively. It does get a bootful on slip roads and I get up to speed quickly but not antisocially during normal driving. Cruise set to 75 on the motorway. A side note being the speedo is very accurate. 80 is a GPS verified 79.

Best I've ever got is 2.9 but 99% of the time it sits between 2 and 2.5.
I checked mine yesterday and according to the trip I have averaged 3m/kw over the last 750 miles.

From my experiments it will be the 75mph cruise that kills it. If you set it to 65 it would 60% higher (particularly now it's warmer)

Apologies for thread diversion. I had a Duster then Chocolatefrog got on.I then got an MG4 Trophy and CF got his MG XPower. So CF behold your next car. You will of course though get the Brabus.
Ha ha! How do you like the smart? Not seen many out in the wild but I do think they look good

They'll weigh bugger all. There's not a chance that those things vibrating could cause the whole car to severely shake in my opinion.
I think the whole car vibrating is a very rare occurrence (from reading other threads), I think I have experienced it once or twice in 3k miles when I've thought "hmmm something feels a bit odd" but not much more than that. Nothing that would make me slow down or particularly worry.

But I have driven lots of cars, a lot of which were old and broken. Maybe if I had never driven anything but brand new cars I might feel differently, really not sure

I had an MG4 EV on rental last week and im going to write up about the EV experience on a separate post.

I have been tempted to look at the price of these and seems too good to be true based on performance/quality of build on the one we had.

It had one done a 1000 miles though and im sure it'll end up rather differently eventually.

I noticed its traction in the rain wasn't brilliant (had conti's on it).

How long are charges taking for you OP? We sat around for a good bloody hour nearly for a full charge on the French 300W charging.
I've only charged once in the wild and got 95kw ISH so should be 30mins or so but I don't know how much that would drop off over time.
Out of interest to what % were you trying to charge as charging rates drop off the closer you get to 100%....

Does MG4 come with rear parking camera in only certain models?
Mg4 comes in 3 trims I think, se, trophy and x-power. Not 100% but I think se doesn't come with the camera....

Second one in a few weeks. It's funny how they describe the car shooting forwards like it isn't reacting to the drivers inputs.

I saw the other one that happened in a car park a few weeks back. I must confess I assumed driver error. Guess it's possible it's a fault but I would need to see some evidence for that.

Still awful for the owner, car is a mess and so is the house.

Just seen this thread, which i hope the op doesn’t mind me adding my thoughts. We’ve had our orange MG4 x-power for a couple of months. Got it on a salary sacrifice scheme through work. My first ev mainly to be used for my daily commute of 80 miles a day. My commute is probably 95% motorway so I’m doing the speed limit when traffic permits. We have a home charging point so I put it on charge daily, which costs approximately £2.50 a day. I should get my money back on the cost of installing the charger in about 6 months with the money I’m saving over my old diesel costs.
Of course not! The more the merrier!

Sounds like we are all having very similar experiences.

As much as I hate MG’s, that orange is a stunning colour!
Why thank you!
It's certainly easy to find in a car park....

The neighbours car rolled off their drive and into mine today so that's going to be fun to sort out.
Oh no! Nightmare.
Sure it didn't just magically shoot forward all on it's own wink
