When you fit the new bumper make sure you retain, or replace, the spacers. Otherwise the bumper will rub on the wings and take the paint off.
thanks for the heads up buddysmile

The alarm & central locking is now working. Top notch service from the guys at Abacus Alarms with a 24h turnaround.

The bumper and lights will be here ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

Might fit the bumper to get an mot, as the bumper respray is only booked for June 3rd.

Managed to do a few things today… removed the bumper and headlights, disassembled the broken headlight and the spare one I bought off ebay to make a blue one.

The airbox is broken so bought the Trofeo K&N intake arrangement as a replacement.

Still needs a wash…!

A quick wash… unveiled a little dent in the bonnet. Should’t be too difficult to sort out…

Good to see a few jobs getting ticked off the list.

When does the new bumper arrive?
The bumper arrived last Thursday, but is only booked to be resprayed next Monday.

I have now completed the headlight restoration, some pics below:

Close to this deadline, maybe you were pulling all our PH legs!!

Did this once with the guys off the sportsmaserati.com forum a number of years ago, great bunch of guys, if you join say Parisien sent you!

Great to see one of the most underrated cars of the last 20 years being saved, excellent!
I’m collecting the bumper from the bodyshop tomorrow at 8AM and intend to spend the morning getting it all put back on! All running on schedule!

We are on for Le Mans!

The colour match wasn’t exactly perfect but it’s something I need to discuss with the bodyshop.

Went for a drive, the car is a hoot! Might upload a video later!

Thanks guys!

The littleangel on my shoulder is wondering if I should take a car I barely know to a trip to Le Mans.

On my other shoulder, the little evil is begging me to get it stickered up biggrin

Noticed that the coolant dropped 1cm in the expansion tank in pretty much 1 hour drive, how concern would you be? (The fuel tank dropped 1/4 in the same hourwhistle)

Park it somewhere dry overnight so hopefully you can see the source of any possible leak. If that doesn't work take enough coolant to get 1cm back in the expansion tank for every hour!

Fuel tank just needs a credit card. laugh
I’m more at rest today, took the car into work (62 mile journey), topped it to the mark (1st photo), got to work and checked upon arrival, it was 1cm above (while hot) and once cooled down it returned to the original level!

May have been a dried up o-ring or something? Seems good!

Will get the Le Mans stickers on now;)

Good work - any worries on the way or was it all plain sailing as far as the car went?
Thanks! Pretty much plain sailing, 3 stops on the way for a coffee and checking over. No issues at all!

Delivered 18.5 MPG too, without trying hard!

Ran out of time to put the stickers on, might do it tonight, better late than never!
