Why are they unreasonable questions? It's not a £1500 shed, it's strong money so I'd want to know if what sounds like the common faults with these cars had been addressed on yours, to make it more desirable over any of the others for sale for similar money
It's actually not, it's quite cheap belive it or not. I think they are daft because at the end of the day it's a multi owner, 14 year old car. I have no idea if some of that stuff has been done or not. All I know is at the moment it's perfectly acceptable given age and milage. Edited by J.C... on Thursday 29th June 19:04
Well selling the Volvo turned into a bit of a story. Basically I received a deposit over 4 weeks ago, yet the guy never came to collect the car despite making 3 separate arrangements to turn up, the latest being last night. In the meantime a nice chap got in touch and was interested. I ended up contacting him last night after having been stitched up yet again, and we spoke on the phone this morning. Within 90mins there was a guy from Shipley at my door, we loaded the car into the trailer and then away it went
I believe the new owner is a member on here, although not a poster. Hopefully it treats him as well as it has done me, and maybe we'll see an update in time.
Just like that's my Volvo R ownership over. Im a bit gutted actually, it was a lovely car, extremely competent, very fast, very refined and very practical. It just no longer made sense for what I do.
You will be missed you magnificent brick. At least I have a panda to play with.

I've not missed it to be honest. I feel liberated without the sense of impending doom. Granted the panda has helped significantly, it's just so chuckable and fun whereas the Volvo was like a fast armchair. I also like the fact I don't have so much money tied up in an older car.
No regrets here.
Might change this week tho as going to Wales in the panda. I'm sure the Volvo would be better for that kind of journey.
