Any updates on the beast? Wondered what happened to this, i.e. did you sell it or decide to keep (I hope you kept!).
Still have it, always toy with selling it but wonder would I regret it. Just before the end of summer clocked over the 10k on the miles.tallpaullewis said:
I've just discovered this thread because of the unfinished DDR on ebay at the mo. Cool looking cars.
I saw that Ad, not a bad price really for what hes collected so far inc shipping and taxes etc... but a hell of a lot of work from current state to get it on the road....that said took me 10months to pass the test, so anyone can do it lolskwdenyer said:
Came to this thread because I just noticed the unfinished one on eBay - still there nearly 5 months later. What was the asking price back in December?
It was originally 25k and he'd dropped to £15k. Wonder if it sold? you couldnt even get the kit over for that price let alone with the engine parts etc... he was offering

Just past this car in the A35, wandered if it’s the same owner?
Yep I've still got it. Keep saying ill sell it and never happens lolI guess as I'm updating the thread; its still going well, paints good but the spoiler needs a bit of a tidy up on some lacquer but nothing major. Did go out with a friend for a couple of photos the other week, how a good camera can make a difference.
Still doing tweaks to the car as another year passed by. The glass front windows unbonded, the bend in them was always a problem, so i made some from Lexan. They are a first iteration but came out well.
Of course i templated them off the original, including templating in the faults
I fitted a sliding window to the drivers side and covered the lexan in PPF so at least the scratches wont be on the lexan and with some hot water will get most marks out. I didnt fit the film that well and have airbubbles or dust underneath but that can be redone.

The car still lives on and will be 10years old this year and 16,000 miles on it. Holding up to the wear and tear well. The Android headunit finally needed replacing...it was running Android 4.4. Photo from Haynes meet today
