The new adventures of Luna, the moon mile V70 shed.

Good to see my old car is treating you well.
The V70R is costing me a fortune sorting out it's suspension niggles!
You mention engine mounts - the front was changed a few years ago with a genuine Volvo part, you should find the invoice in the history. The rear is original I think.
Also - winter tyres - i'll be selling my 16" set of wheels soon with winters fitted, 2 of which have done under 1000 miles. Ping me if interested.
Alan.

I could be interested in those winters Alan, if Dum Dum isn't, obviously
OK, I'm in Luton, Beds.I used them on the V70 that he now has, but they won't fit over the brakes on the V70R so no use to me now. I was planning to sell them around November, but they could go anytime! 2 tyres are 'as new' (fitted 23/12/17, have invoice for £184.48) and 2 have 3-4mm tread from memory. They came off the car in March and didn't do many miles.
They made a significant improvement to it during ice / snow. I'll probably repeat the exercise with the V70R, but with 17's.
I'm after around £250 for them.
Good to hear from you Alan
She is happily working up and down the country on a regular basis with everything still working.
I found the receipt for the top engine mount.
Good, 1 less to do and hey it was the easy one.
She owes me a knuckle scraping, curse inducing job
Thanks for the offer on the wheels but I have sourced some winter rubber so if anyone else wants them, go for it. I can absolutely recommend Alan as a top person to deal with.
I will update the thread properly soon, when there is something noteworthy to report - other than the fuel computer continuing to report average mpg of 60+.
It is more than a little optimistic as real mpg is averaging 53 which is good enough for me!

Hey. No worries.
I used the following with great success
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...
Make sure you message the seller with all the relevant vehicle info. Defo worth it and wakes the car up a great deal without too much hassle.
Also the egr plate improved my mpg and gives a good opportunity to clean out the valve and boost pipes.

Soooooo.... in an interesting turn of events the OP has changed roles and no longer needs the car.
He contacted me to ask if i'd be interested in buying her back, at a price I couldn't refuse. Better still 4 new Pirelli tyres have been fitted recently.
So, today I collected her. It's good to have the old girl back. She's now on 271k and is pretty much as she was in July when I last saw her.
I'm owner number 2 and 4 !!
Wife unimpressed at 4 cars between 2 of us however.
I might (eventually) sell the V70R...
