That's an excellent job you've done there,it looks utterly mint...and I'm totally on the same page with the modifications you've made to it.They are improvements, and will make the car much more of a treat to drive without losing the 80's XR3-ness of the car as a whole. Mullet-tastic,Sir. Another car saved and looking better than new.

Thanks mate!This really is stunning.
It’s my second favourite on Readers Cars.
The V8 Aston Martin pips it as it’s the car I would have a poster of when I was a kid.
Looks exactly the same as the ‘3i I had years ago, only difference I can see is mine had solid head rests iirc.
Like I said before I am very jealous of this car, it’s gorgeous.

That looks Fantastic.
I loved mine. It was my second car at 18 in 1985
It was a toss up between a large 3 bedroom house for £11,500
or the XR3 for £4,100.....It wasnt a tough choice at 18

You've done a fantastic job restoring that OP and like the subtle mods. Great memories of these cars as my dad had a string of them when I was a nipper. I remember one A reg black one with a lower lip to the front fitted that absolutely flew. Must have been modded.
Have today though, think we need a thread on the Audi also on your drive - is that an S2?
