Having sold my Impreza http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=136... a few months back, I decided to place an order for a Golf R. I placed the order on 23rd August and collected the car on 23rd December

Totally agree, wheels on this look great where as the standard wheels...not so much.

How is the dynaudio? Wasn't available when I got mine and always wondered if I should upgrade the sound system

Love the colour and wheels, only ones I've seen on the road so far have been in blue with standard wheels. Nice Scooby as well notice that it had a fair bit of work done to it, any plans for the Golf?

Normally what accompanies a DSG car...

As others have stated the 19's really do make the car, nice motor

However, red on standard wheels looks superb!

I actually like the 19" Option wheel on a black R. I ditched mine as they don't look right on a white MK7 R.

As a road car it is stunning; i'm impressed with the DSG gearbox, steering and suspension setup. Power delivery as standard is very linear; initial plans are to have it remapped once I've put a few miles on it.

Dynaudio has a decent sound to it with a good turn of bass from the subwoofer mounted in the spare wheel.
