My Ford Cortina Crayford Mk4
Discussion
I purchased the car around 5 years ago was hoping to have it on the road in 6 months lol
when a man says he will do it it never happens lol
so much going on in life work and other commitments.
1.6 pinto had died and replaced it with a 2.0 pinto few years
replaced complete subframe with new parts
koni shocks
-1 lowring springs
poly bushed all round
new brake calipers etc etc
power steering hoses one replacement hose cost me about £80
new rear shocks
axle bushes removed and fitted new bushes
sold the cyclone wheels as they were pitted in the centres
they are going to be replaced with standard sports steels which are at the body shop now
well currently now its in primer and can see some light at the end of the tunnel still a little bit of work to do once its all painted I will be fitting it all up
attached below are pictures in no particular order, but i'l try my best
last few are of my old mk5 2 door that I had almost 10 years ago

Wow I haven’t this car for years the days when I was a young lad my uncle owned the car back in the 90s me and my cousin to sit in the back of the car with the hood down in sunshine and it was great fun being in my uncles Cortina it brings back a lot of memories in Guildford it was a shame that the car got caught on fire in the garage as I can remember you’ve done a fantastic job and I’m glad the car is almost done

So nice to hear this story mate do you or does your uncle have any pictures of it 👍What made me buy a crayford was back in 1996-97 I saw one at ford fair and fell in love with it.
Sorry have not updated for a while
But everything crossed it should be on the road this year
We had a baby last year and the project was on hold but it didn’t stop me buying parts lol
Need to sort a few wiring issues out as it won’t crank of the key but will crank direct from starter
Hood needs to be sent away for a new one
Fit all the interior back in and then happy days
I’m sure there is still plenty to do
Thank you for your kind words
Will try and upload some more pics
If I can Remember how to do them

Orginal front end back on
Also managed to get rostyle wheels in chrome
Wonder how they will look fitted with wider tyres on the back
One of the previous owner who is in Australia sent me some old pictures of the motor from back in late 80’s early 90’s
Engine bay getting a tidy up

Hi guys hope all is well restored the engine bay in my drive it’s come out pretty well,
Sourced a set off cyclone wheels that it had years ago
It’s running now mostly needs a new hood as the old one is knackered and need to sort out the power steering leak.
Interior bits need to be put back.
Managed to take it round the block after over a decade.
