Definitely a love it or loathe it car. I was in the latter camp for a long time, but now see how they were very much of the era and how, as a classic, they have a certain seventies charm.

As with your Miura post, I for one would like to know more.

I think that I haven’t actually ever seen a Camargue in real life.

What was it like to own, ruinously expensive?

I certainly did not loath the Camargue as it was wonderful for us as a family with two young sons. Plus it was a rarer model than allthe other RRs at the time. I took it with the family twice a year from Buckinghamshire to Newcastle then on the Ferry to Kristiansand Norway to visit my wife's family. It was fast, exclusive and an absolute pleasure to drive and we always arrived feeling relaxed. See photo
??is that not a Silver spirit?

In 1979 l purchased my third Rolls Royce, being a Camargue pictured here with my wife in Beaconsfield in 1981
That's a terrific picture to be starting a thread with.

I'm not sure which I like more; the cars or the Scandinavian blonde!

Following the Miura thread with great interest. Any more photos or anecdotes to share about the Camargue or Silver Spirit? Thanks

Looks more like a Silver Spirit.

The first pic is a Camargue though... Did you have one of each and swap the numberplate across?

Have you seen the “Guess who has aged thread” in the Lounge recently?

Read on the Miura thread that you also owned a Corniche at one point. Any photos or anecdotes relating to it? Thanks

If he's the Roger I think he is, then there's rather a lot more to him than just the cars.
