Purchase of a new run around to supplement the family fleet meant a 2-seater for me was back on the cards, and I missed having the roof-down on the (very) few nice days we've had this summer. Much as I loved the IS-F, I think I am too young to be that sensible. So....

...I was passing the Nissan dealers and I thought I would pop in to say hello as I've had a few 350/Pathfinder/Qashqais off them in the past. Anyway, 10 mins later, a very good deal done on a cancelled order 370Z Roadster. Exactly the spec I was looking for, and hearing it was 'Black Rose' thought black, not ideal, but perfectly bearable.

Except it's not black, it's well, erm...purple. A mate of mine has already christened it the Datsun Plumster...

It's a manual GT 'connect', with leather heated/air-con seats, a very clever sat nav, 'superior' sound system, hard drive, xenons, and everything else you could ever want/need...

And no leather???
Full black leather and suede interior - the centre panels of the seat are perforated (the seats are ventilated and have hot/cold air con fanned through them), and on that photo I guess they don't look like leather.

I guess the interior isn't the most fabulous, but it's got everything you would ever need....

Thanks for the comments, appreciated...

As for the comparison versus the 350Z, it feels far more 'modern', lots of clever stuff, the down change blip saves me trying/failing to do it, and really (honestly) makes for a far better down change.

It is more rigid, no scuttle shake that I can feel, and it just feels far more 'urgent' if that makes sense?

It still feels very 'old school' rear wheel drive, but at the same time with wonderful steering, handling, and grip, and 'bite' that I would never of dreamed of with my 06 350Z roadster.

It's also got loads of tech which I will be asking HH son #1 (16 yrs) to sort out tomorrow.

This ^^ is awesome - certainly beats angling a vent to blow down one leg of your shorts... wink
It works really well, the only problem being that with this awful weather we've been having it's been blowing hot, rather than cold, air frown !
