Hi all. Id like to introduce to you, The Slug.

Its a '98 Grand Cherokee Orvis 4.0 (dont really know what the orvis bit is tbh)
Its done a not too shabby 145,500 miles with a plentiful service history to boot. The body is in decent nick for the age of the ol gal, couple of rust patches around the arches and the fuel filler but i think the colour hides them well. biggrin

Apologies for the dark pics, it was night beofre i could stop driving it to take some pics. biggrin

Mechanically it seems good apart from the exhaust needing fixed ( mid section hanging slightly ) and the brakes are pretty sticky so hopefully she wont cripple me. Tis mot'd till July 2012 so if she gets me there then im a happy bunny. Wont really be driving it much till the dodgy weather appears, maybe skip runs and the like.
Picked it up Saturday and ive already been fishing with it and took a load of junk from my sisters to my mums. Its great!

The seats are like a bloomin sofa, the comfiest things ever. All the elecs work as they should and all the switches and buttons do too.
Ill admit, im fookin chuffed with the old girl. Bring on the snow!!

On another note,

Dont mention fuel eh guys? it hurts already. wink

Shaweet! biggrin

Yours looks neater than mine. V nice.

You mentioned the ariel? Its stuck in the 'out/on' position, wont budge.

Just sorted a few minor niggles with some wd40 and some lube biggrin Im loving snot motoring.

someone asked so i might aswell tell, i paid £750 for her. Like i said before, mot'd till July '12 so i just need to keep her purring till then.

Nice one, so the Orvis is the only one with bonnet vents over here?

Dont know if it used to run a private reg. The chap i bought it from used it to tow classics up and down the country! was bought near Loch Lomond and before that it stayed in East Kilbride not too far from me.
