So low and behold here is the replacment for Mia, she's not fast, the handling is so so but boy is it a joy to drive, the lift off oversteer is epic fun smile

Here are the pics I took today after cleaning her

I do have a list of things to do to her which won't cost much and will improve her quite a bit as I do get bored after a while :0

-Janspeed catback DTM style
-GSR intake
-36/38/40mm throttle bodie...standard is 30mm
-866 cam from Punto 75
-Lowering kit to sharpen up the handling some what
-HUGE pistonhead sticker
-Bigger breaks as the standard ones are shocking!!
-And a aftermarket ECU chip to bring power to 70/75hp

Should make a HUGE difference from what I have read!! wink

From what I hear...the Cinq Sporting is much more harder, firmer and bit more raw than a Seic Sporting...plus she don't have power steering so it's a bit of a handful at low speeds wink

If I can find myself another SS exhaust for the same price as the 'DTM' then I'll leave her alone smile

But people keep asking if I'll fit a red door frown

Looks nice, have you changed the headlights/indicators at the front? They look nice and dark.

Does the 1.2 16v Punto engine fit these? My mum has a Mk1 Punto with this engine and it was quite nippy. 85bhp I think.
Well the 16v does not nope BUT the Punto 75 engine fits just pefect, just drop and bolt with a few small bits smile that makes a HUGE HUGE difference so I am tempted at some point wink

Looks a nice tidy example.

Thanks fella, yeah that GTA is mine as well...use her once or twice a week...so the Cinq is my daily but wanted something with 'character' for daily after coming from a 145QV @D

A fella on the Yorkshire forum has one of these. Must be half decent, as his other car is a Cerbera rofl I like em
too.
Tbh, before I got her I didn't see the appeal of these, rather slow, very spartan inside but after driving her for a few months now I 'get' why people rate them so high...they are just so chuckable through corners and the rear end loves to slide rather a lot wink

Find your nearest 'Longlife' centre for an exhaust - they're not much more expensive than a crappy Janspeed / Sportex thing, but you can 'tune' them to your requirements.

All the other mods look good to me - but brakes aren't, IMHO, a big issue on these cars - just change the discs for a new set of OEM spec. items and fit a 'fast road' pad. You can easily lock up all 4 wheels on the standard setup, so why change it?
I was thinking about what to do on the brakes last night, shopped around and found that braided hoses, OEM spec discs and fast road pads. They would be perfect smile

What an awesome list of mods smile.

I had one of these when I took the Cerbera off the road.

I F'ing loved it! Kept it standard, drove it for 15months and it didn't miss a beat, 100% reliable with only tyres/petrol and 1 service in that time. Straight through MOT.

Italian cars are much more reliable than their reputation would have you believe, and they are great fun and stylish too smile.
I found out few days ago that you can drop the Punto 75 engine into the Cinqs, a few engine mods on that and could see close to 100bhp...oh so many options biggrin

Scott, the cool thing is that the list of mods are all for the right reasons smile.

It's a shame when people spend £££'s on a car without the performance benefit.

Where as your mod list is just pure performance!

Love it smile.
Cheers fella, I am toying with the idea of getting myself another Alfa as well so the mods might have to wait a while I play around with the new Alfa smile

Would be great with the Abath 500 lump in it wink
Now your talking! Or just drop a Punto 75 engine in it with a turbo for good measure, Abarth 500 pace right there wink
