I was thinking it needed a brace across the top, the panelling in looks good and strong, but I remember it how sturdy the panel work was on my Uno of similar vintage...
You can say that again... We were attempting to manoeuvre the front engine on its mounts thought "that's just about got it" then realised we were actually moving the chassis legs...griffin dai said:
Sorry mate didn't realise it was you. Did you get the VGT in the end? That HE451ve I sold was HUGE!!! Weighed 26kgs & dwarfed my gt3076r!! Monster turbo! I think it's on a old BMW 5 series now in Bosnia!!
Hi Froggy (presume it's you?) Lots of torque, 4wd and a challenge to get to work well... a single engine and 4wd would obviously be simpler but where is the fun in that.
Controlling both should be simple enough, throttles will be linked, clutch will be linked, gear selectors will be linked so it should be much like driving any other big hp 4wd car.... we shall see

The journey is sometimes more fun than the destination . I lost count of all the hours and fab work that went in the bin when I did my twin charged build or the big Vgt Holset but would still do it all again
Indeed it's all a good learning experience... and beats watching TV especially given the top gear situation.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
