Fair enough, but still seems a big increase for a N/A 1.6. Have you had it on a rolling road or is it just a guess?
I would presume estimates based on what the manufacturers have claimed.
Yes your right that is est.. I simply copied and pasted the Spec list from another forum, i know that a car with same engine and modification got 143bhp, so they say 10 bhp from REMAP.lol. so i took that .lol... I should imagine its more the 146-148 range, just the power is better distributed now.

TBH all them engine mods are a waste of time now frown Done them when i was going to track the car, but then decided on exterior work, only bought the Brembos becasue got a good deal on them and think they look so sl£ggish, also beats puney breaks on the C2..

Blue headlights nono

Why did you re-spray it? What was wrong with the blue?

Is that not a lot of money you'll never, ever see again? confused
Nope not blue headlights, they is a slight tinge of blue and they are side lights, Dont even notice them when you have dipped lights on.

And i never resprayed it, it went into a bodyshop and the bodywork and respray cost 2k, then you just add all the extra wrk thats done nd cry, but im not bothered. I think sometimes wot am i doing then, i think im young i enjoy doing what im doing and there are alot worse things i could waste my money on. I know i will never get my money back in respect of what i have spent in total, and aint even finished yet, but i try not to think about that, i will strip her bk to as std as possible when i do eventually sell up.

Well, I didn't think that you actually painted it yourself, I was wondering why you changed a perfectly good colo....Oh never mind
Oh sorry mate, just you will be suprised how many ppl actually as did i spray the car.lol.. And the only reason i sprayed the car a different colour was because i was doing the smoothing of the car, then when i found out how much more to go 2-tone, i thought why not, something different and you will not see another c2 pass me like that.

It's more where you ask people. Ask at a cruise then everyone will love it. Ask on here and it won't go down well. Take an E30 M3 to a cruise, and everyone won't care, they'll say it's old, and slow. On here, everyone will love it.

There is no right or wrong, just a lot of variety in the wide tapestry of car culture, which is what makes it so interesting smile

p.s. I'd rather the E30. ta
Yeah i have noticed that.. Thats what modding and cars are all about though i guess would be boring if everyone had the same taste and same cars.

The standard VTS is quite a nippy car is it not? I'd drive a stock one, in black with leather, quite happily as an every day car.

Not a massive fan of this but I appreciate the lack of a "Jap-style" bumper and a "drift wing."
Yeah they are quite nippy, not quite as fast as the saxo VTS, but im happy as this for a first car smile And that car you were driving was a code, limited edition they are, seats are starting to grow on me..

Very Interesting comments, thanks for all your views.. I can understand the car not appealling to the majority of people on here, but i like some criticism from time to time. Help me get some info on what i could do better to the car, for instance the halo lights are supposed to be white, just they came that colour need to change them and from the comments has prompted me to do so..

Anyway was payday yesterday and ordered 305x28 drilled and grooved discs to go with the brembos, also ordered some bembo stickers (heat resistant ones) cost £10 for stcikers (shocking) because i am painting them red. and also 20mm spacers for the front and rears..

Will get pictures up as soon as i get the car back from the bodyshop..

Ok only a small update, I will be painting the calipers red tomorrow.

Also ordered a set of 8k HID's, because ive had 3 sets bulbs blow and that over £30 and not spending more money on them to just blow.

Also bought a new headunit Alpine w200Ri. And its the bo££ox, could have bought a cheaper headunit, but i got a good deal on this and wont lose much money when i go to sell it on smile

And a cheap and chearfull but well over due mod is some Bosch flat aerotwins

Just waiting on getting my car back now....

Those 20mm spacers your getting with the brake mods....PLEASE have a set of longer wheel studs fitted with them!!! Its dodgy as all hell if you dont...your going to end up with your wheel nuts only engaging on half a dozen threads.
Allready in with the spacers mate smile I need to get some locking nuts ordered but they around £60 for 4..shocking price, if anyone knows for cheaper please let me know.

Hi Gareth. Ok so I'm a bald fat middle-aged BMW dude and it's not really going to be my cup of tea but I actually like it a lot and respect all the effort you've clearly put into it. thumbup

Why do one lot of 'enthusiasts' feel the need to have a cheap shot at another lot just because tastes differ a bit ... rolleyes
Thanks mate, i really appreciate what you have said wink I knew posting on here would not get the same reaction from a cruiser site, but we all have one thing in General and that is moddifying cars, one way or another, wether it be engine modification or cosmetic, small or a major project..

^^ are these xenon conversion kits not illegal for road use unless you fit automatic headlamp levelling and washing and are they e-approved? It's just that I think I read somewhere that they were for off road use only.
Yes these are illegal, as i do not have auto-levelling headlights as mine are aftermarket. They are however e-approved biggrin
