Hi all,

I've posted before, I'm 19 and here is my pride and joy. You can find the rebuild thread in the Classic Mini section of this website.I just thought I'd show off and update you all with a recent photograph of the mini. Let me know what you think.

Tom

Hi all, thought I would resurrect this thread for good measure. I don't know what I mean by that, but it sounds good and your still reading! The mini still continues to start on key although the gearbox seems to be on its way out, but it has been like that for as long as I can remember. The engine also remains, out-of-tune, however she still gets me about. I am currently part way through an engine build, which is a huge learning curve for me, but I'm getting there slowly but surely. A massive thanks, to all of those PH'ers whom assist my often stupid questions in the Classic Mini section. I owe you all a pint!

The rolling restoration continues, I'm just sitting here wishing for some nicer weather to get stuck in. The doors require some attention sometime soon, maybe next on the long list of things to do. I'm getting there!

looks really nice mate!
have just read through the post, and it seems like you've done a good job.
i like the fact that it looks beefy, but not in your face. quite subtle.
keep it going.
Thanks, it's all about subtlties! She does get used and abused though don't you worry biggrin Everyday vehicle for me;

I think the left-hand driveshaft has run dry of grease frown Probably too late to save it now, but I'll buy a new boot and packet of grease. Surely it can't get worse with more grease & a new boot?

Bloody lovely little motor!

The more BMW Minis I see the more I like the original!

I have to say, I do like the Mini GP and prefer the earlier style new mini to the latest model.

Splendid car. It's nice to see you kept it on 10" wheels too, it looks superb with those blocky Yoko's!
I love the Yoko's, it's like wrapping chewing gum round your tyres! Managed to lower the back left hand size but not done the right hand side yet! Its a bit scew-if, but it always has been biggrin
