Well, that's it, I'm FINALLY at that age (nearly) where I can hit the road. And so, a set of wheels was in order. This was perfect for me in every way, and I am smitten with it! Okay, so it isn't the most PH car out there, but oh well!! Now, I have to pass my test... biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

ETA: Please excuse the poor photography and quality of pics. I used my phone! And my finger just fell into the second one...

I have to share it with her for a month until she gets her new car. And she can be seen driving it in the second one if you really need to see her hehe

How many lessons you had?

Damnit man!
I just got an identical one (minus the glass roof) for an early 18th pressie (lucky, lucky me!) and every time I go out to it in the student car park I get 'going to fetch the kids? Schools out!' from mates... Ah well, they're all stuck in 50bhp VW Polos and 60brake Clios and Fiestas, so I don't care, I've got 100...

Looks great, I kinda wish mine had the glass roof but, (being a Renault) it's one thing less to go wrong... frown Yours is the same colour as mine, 'Oporto Red Metallic-Illusion) - orangey red right?

I'm getting the opposite feedback, my mates all think it is lovely and the girls all think it's gorgeous! And I really do love glass roof. And I didn't realise it had a CD Multichanger in the dash until i picked it up!! BONUS! smile Every time I see it parked on the drive I grin like a Cheshire Cat biggrin

Thanks for the positive comments everyone!!

Well, I've driven it now smile Obviously, having nothign to compare it and not having gone faster than 30mph, I can't really comment on the performance hehe But I like it. Very comfy. If a little susceptible to stalling... whistle

Are you going to learn to drive in this then without lessons? I had 8 lessons now had a go in the mini before I brought it certainly was rather different to the focus I am learning in was going to go for something more modern like this but would end up going to fast to get any enjoyment out of it just to civilised and easy for my tastes. smile Still for a first car is very nice compared to the 1.2 corsa's with 16v badges most people my age seem to have lol.
Nah, I'm just going out in it to learn basic stuff and to work on my technique. My first proper lesson is tomorrow, I'm learning in an '05 MINI Cooper! smile

Pah, you should have learnt in a real Mini Cooper like I did. THAT my friend is learning to drive, no pas, hydraulic clutch, no abs etc. etc. :P Best of luck, and that Megane is a nice looking motor - enjoy it !
Thanks! I like it, anyway smile

And I would have loved an original Mini, but my mother refused on the basis that they're 'unsafe'. frown My dad has had 13 of them though!

My megane scares me, I keep reading all theses horror stories on RenaultForums and MeganeII Owners Club... It's like eating cheese before sleeping...

Tell me. I want to know, but I don't want to know. I need to know. TELL ME! biggrin

Oh, and thanks for the compliments guys! I went on my first completely faultless drive today (no stalls or anything wink ) and although my mother was terrified, I think she FINALLY believes that I didn't much up in my driving lesson on Monday. She thought I was lying! But the MINI I'm learning in is soo much easier to drvie than the Megane.

And Tom, I'm just going to ignore the possibilities of faults until they actually happen. Mainly becuase the sunroof is one big, expensive problem waiting to happen (probably)... biggrin

Yup, hence I'm glad mines not got one, though I kinda do wish it had one, but hey. My window is faulty, the keycard that hasn't been chewed is faulty, as in, it'll unlock/lock the car but not start it and my boot doesn't unlock with the rest of the car, I have to press Unlock and then the Boot button Grrrr
I have none of these problems hehe Guess I'm lucky! 6 CD multichanger is still one of my fav bits, and I LOVE the sunroof, especially with the weather we've been having! Mine unlocks as it should, especially like the whole putting the key in your pocket and still unlocking the door thing, confused my friends! biggrin However, one of the key cards doesnt work frown It did, but then my sister took the battery out, put it back in and it refused to work after that!
