With my merc still being a pain thought it was about time I got something with more than 4 cylinders. It's a bit rough around the edges and the interior needs a bloody good clean, but rather chuffed for £850 biggrin

The paintwork looks alot nice in the photos, actually needs a fair bit of work with something like megs scratch X. Think I'm quite happy with 192 bhp at the moment, quickest car I've had thus far so any more is just asking for an accident...

looks like you already have the angel eyes installed? anyway great car for £850. if it were me i would grab hold of some m-tech styling bodykit and an m3 rear cluster ^^
Angel eyes were on the car when I bought it. A little unsure about them so might just replace them with standard jobbies. Also I think the front indicators have been replaced with clear ones, got a feeling the standards are orange? These work a bit better than the angels though I think

Just read on your blog about the Merc 190 problems, have you asked for advice on http://s14.zetaboards.com/mercedes_190_club/index/...

It's probably your best bet if you want to get it running again.

Already a member, I'm 'Norman87' on there. I'm currently in contact with a couple of other members about obtaining a new metering head. See here: http://s14.zetaboards.com/mercedes_190_club/topic/... Hopefully it'll work eventually... rolleyes How are you getting on with your 190?

Looks nice, tempted with a 325i manifold and throttle body to get it up to 220bhp?
Are you not confusing that with the 323/325 170/192bhp models. To get it up to 220bhp you would need a Dave F induction kit(or similar) and a ECU tweek.
The model in the photo appears to be a 320.

ETA
Just checked the reg and it is a 328, how strange.

Whether its a 318 or a 328 pretty much all E36 saloons look the same surely?

That badge on the back looks like a 320 to me. Although I may be wrong it could well be an 8.(the reg says it is)

Deffinately an 8 on that bootlid, and a 2.8 under the bonnet!

I like it except for the automatic.

Ironically I am tempted to replace it with an E36 328i
I can see why, only 190 I could see myself wanting with the auto would be the 2.6. You could try a 16v 190 though I think my experiences prove that you can't really buy a cheap one without getting major headaches! The E36 328i is probably the most sensilble way to get a swift 6 cylinder BMW on a budget
