Picked this up last weekend. Hasn't seen a dry road since then so not got any good photos. Just a few off my phone.

The day i collected it...

And since then...

And then the snow came...

More than I had planned on posting but oh well. Opinions welcomed.

Cheers, Ian

one tip I will give. DO NOT OPEN THE ROOF SCOOP AT SPEED. It will take off your fingers and snap and dent the roof. Well mine did. Its fine to have open at speed just make sure the act of opening it occurs at 30mph or less. Brilliant litle thing in the summer though.
I agree, check the seals and regularly tighten up the bracket and hinge to ensure it locks tight and has no play when it's open (the flap is okay up to about 80mph)
Thanks for the advice chaps. It's a brilliant little thing in the winter too it would seem. DCCD seems to help massively. Taking it easy for now though seeing as I've been used to a diesel vectra. There is quite a difference in power.

Car has been in for a service and full inspection tonight. Got a few things that they recommend getting sorted but car seems in quite good health. Hopefully get some time over the weekend for a clean and some better quality photos. Although, with this snow forecast, i may well not get the opportunity.

Few more photos I've found. Was going to take it for a blast this morning but ended up under the bonnet sorting a few little things.

Needs a wash now though. Salty roads are a nightmare!

Anyway, photos....

Glad everyone likes it. Will get some interior shots when I do a proper photo shoot rather than just phone snaps.

Yea, I always imgined that the imprezas were more mechanical and the evos more technological if that makes any sense. And then of course, as you say, the noise! I always knew I wanted one. Paid 5k for it with low miles and almost completely standard.

Nice car :-)

Hope you've been busy with a toothpick on that intercooler, looks like a few bent fins :-) I always found it easier to take it off than lean over the car, plus it meant I could clean out all the bugs with a hose pipe.
I haven't but that's a bloody good idea! Will give that a blast at the weekend if the weather stays reasonable.

Thanks.

Jimbo, no. I wasn't even aware there was an intercooler guard available. Will add it to the list of things to do/look into. And no, wasn't me. I live up Northumberland way.

Loads of little bits and pieces I want to do to the car over the coming months. Give it a bit of a refresh. Also, still need to get round to taking some good photos.

Went for a blast in the Northumberland countryside today and had a great time.

Snapped these in the car park at Simonside up near Rothbury...

Got a bit dirty yesterday blasting about the countryside so gave the car a clean today. Need some better weather and more time so I can get it all polished up though.
