Ok so heres my baby. Currently at DNR having an engine conversion to a b16 and the rust on the rear arch fixed.
A little about the car, this engine size and colour was for the jap only market and is very hard to find, it has vtec spec front end as standard. Its a 1.5x dual carb (try telling insurance companies that exsists on a crx!!).
I do have lots of plans for it, aswell as going up the drag strip some more:

and my old car which fialed mot and has gone to car heaven:

how much is the engine conversion costing? would it not have been better to just buy a vtec in the 1st place? they look better too.
bet its a bit of a go kart to drive, surely better on the twisties than on the drag strip?
nope, the car only cost me four hundred pounds, and the conversion 1,300 so thats under 2k, in what way does the vtec look better? since this 1.5 has all the vtec parts on it (such as bumper/bonnet/headlights/front wings and spoiler etc as the 16v are different) from factory (other than leather interior which i dont care for)?

1.3k for a B16 conversion? The whole swap can be bought for around £500 these days.

Kudos though for keeping an old Honda alive...
well its all of the wiring etc that has to be changed on the 1.5 as it has air con and power steering etc.
and everything is being changed so its a good deal to me!

There's not really a great deal of wiring to be done on the old CRX conversions. But as a price for a drive in/drive out conversion that's pretty decent smile

A B16 CRX is a pretty rapid little car which will surprise a lot of people. I'll be upgrading my Del Sol to a B16 or B18C4 next year.
needs new engine mounts aswell, i think tis a decent price, oh and im getting the vt breaks for an extra hundred.

yikes that does seem a lot of money.

Perhaps the body parts are the same i as the vtec, i have never really looked that much into detail on those, maybe its the 2 tone look that makes it less appealing to the eyes perhaps? does it sit at the same height as a vtec? i.e same suspension? or the wheels perhaps? there is something that just makes it look less sporty.

nah wheels are standard vtec wheels aswell. everything is the same as an Sir except the interior. even the lights bonnet front wings etc

Girl on a drag strip, awesome. If you don't mind me asking, where did you manage to find such a nice CRX for so little money? Or did you import it yourself? I would be very tempted by a retro jap pocket rocket if I knew where to find a good un.
Ebay! think no one bid because it was in the middle of wales and the import insurance costs!!

so will the conversion bring it to 160bhp? that will be quite sprightly in such a light car.

You got any other planned mods?
Thats correct up to 160bhp.
other mods will include a turbo aswell, lowering, new wheels on the way and a halo headlight conversion for now.

That red and white MR2 hasn't gone to heaven. It now lives in Buckingham, I've seen it at least twice- now complete with JDM YO wheels and front and rear splitters.
I sold that red mr2 to my so called friend for spares, and thankyou since you say youve seen it being driven about at least i can now confirm that the tax disc was indeed stolen from me as it never arrived back to me in the post :-( anyway cant be botherd to worry about that

Unless there's an near identical Mk1 MR2 (same red markings) I'm pretty sure it's the same.

-EDIT-
Reg isn't on the motor insurance database mind. I'll grab a pic when I'm next up that way.

Is 'halo headlight conversion' a finer name for 'reel wikkid angeel eyez blud'?
Only if i was a chav..and if you saw what i looked like you would know i was not a chav :-P
Can a well spoken IT professional from surrey not like the looks of halo lights without being called a chav or a rude girl?
