My track car



Spec
4.8 litre John Eales motor
Cosworth pistons
Carillo rods
Ultra big valve and ported head
Jenvey 48mm down draft throttle bodies
DTA engine management
Dry sumped
Tony Law bespoke manifold
Techcraft repackable silencers

6 speed Quaife sequential box
Quaife complete rear diff with LSD
Ultra small flywheel and hydraulic AP clutch. No Bellhousing

Ap 4 pots front and rear
Magnesium uprights (ex formula3000)
Nitron front and Koni rear dampers
ex Benneton f1 pedal box
Jack Knight 2 turn L to L rack

Chassis design by Paul Brown ex Chevron and Pacific f1 designer
Bespoke dampers.
Engine mounted further back and lower than standard on shear plate with box bolted to the chassis
Suspension pick up points off engine.

I have owned car for 13 years and has evolved slightly over time, most notably colour and engine capacity increase and injection

However, I do think maybe if you added a power bulge to the bonnet, it would be a bit more manly =)


I know, not very subtle. The old one flew off at Anglesey, together with the nose cone and I ran over it. This one does just cover the air filters so does keep it a bit quieter. They stuck through the old one!

Thankyou for the comments. I have never really timed it accelaration or lap times. It was set up a while ago by Gelscoe Motorsport at Donnington and they lapped the circuit in 1 min 14, they reckon it would do a 1 11 but the brake bias was not quite right and was locking the rears a bit too much. It is Kawasaki green, really like the colour. It has also been white, white and yellow, pearl orange then green. I have used the colour as a theme for my company logo for my trackday company that I have just set up, Apex Trackdays. Please watch out for it Shameless plug!!
