A couple of guys have asked for da specs on my car. First off I've owned the car since new and started modifying it on day one. Since this car is so far out there, it has a lot of one-off parts that have been custom made. Its basically an Audi I-5 AAN 20 valve that has a 92.8mm crank and a slight bore to 83mm for a total of 2.51 liters. Its got a custom equal length, firing order sequenced, thick walled, stainless steel, tubular exhaust manifold. It runs 034 IIc EMS and Injector Dynamics 2000cc injectors wit a Comp CT43 billet wheel ceramic ball bearing turbo. This setup has pulled 755hp/710ft/lbs at the wheels with 36 lbs of boost and that was before the billet wheel was added. At 30 lbs with the billet wheel it started blowing head gaskets. Its got more grunt at 30 lbs than it did at 36 lbs. There's a head gasket fix coming from Sweden that should be here in a few months. For now I've got to dial it back to 26 lbs and hang on! Here's the build sheet:

Bonkers, bet it sounds good too!

It sounds absolutely sinister. The reason for the sound is the I-5 Audi configuration, the monster Comp turbo, the 3.5" exhaust from just about turbo-back, and the unique 3.5" into dual 3" rear exit. The exhaust is 3.5' until just after the rear axles and splits into dual 3.5" at the 90 degree turns. It then necks down into dual 3" sets out to the side and then mounts to 2 Magnaflow mufflers that are 3" in and dual 3" out. This video is of a preliminary run using my old 880cc injectors. We ran out of injector at 635 wheel hp. Enjoy.

Wow!! What a machine. Any videos of it on the road?
Thanks very much for all the kind words guys. At this point, I don't really have any on road vids. I'm also away on holliday in Kauai for the month so no vids 'til I get back to not from Evahboost. European Car magazine is an American mag about, Tah Dah, European cars. Avowed gearhead, Paul Krasusky flew to Denver to do an article on my car this summer and it came out in the December issue. Here's the online copy:

http://www.europeancarweb.com/features/epcp_1012_1...

Its hard to describe driving this car on da street. The power delivery is surprisingly linear for such a large turbo. I have driven a lot of S-cars and this one has been through a lot of stages during my 18 years of ownership. Its actually similar on clutch release at lower/moderate throttle input to a moderately modded car or for those that might know to RS2 level cars. When the throttle is used very hard things get blurry in a hurry. When using full throttle in almost any gear at say 4000rpm+ it will break loose all 4 wheels. Its very hard to watch or glance any gauges outside of the tachometer since your total focus is relegated to keeping the car going down the road ahead of you. The 255/35-18 Bridgestone RE-11s are as sticky a road tire as there is but they all break loose on command. This is actually a good thing since they act as a fuse. I don't snap driveline pieces, I just break da tires loose

Amazing piece of engineering. But what's with the badging?
The urRS4 is my idea of what a maxed out tuner would have done to an RS4 had Audi made one back then. wink

Fine. What did it start out as?? Looks a lot bigger than an A4 to me.
OK, in 1992, 1993 and 1994 Audi made the S4 from a C4/200 chassis. It had an I-5 20valve motor. That's why its referred to as a urS4 or original S4. It is not from the B5 chassis. In 1996 Audi redesignated the lines and the car became the S6/A6.

Funny you should ask about my Daily Driver/Track Car. I was planning on introducing her shortly. I'll start a thread this morning.

Piece of beauty, but I seriously hate US spec bumpers. Damn laws eh frown

And how does it work that this is an RS4? I'd have said it was more the predecessor of the A6 = RS6?
Hey G

Yeah I also like the Euro bumpers but the US ones do allow me to mount the 4" deep and 24" wide FMIC core. Something that would be impossible with the Euro. In 1992, 1993 and 1994 the C4 chassis was the 100CS/S4. In 1995 Audi changed their designation to A6, A8 etc. So this car was a ur(original) S4 and thus my interpretation of a Tuner version of a urRS4 if Audi had built one back then. HTH

Hey Guys

Well, Tufty Jones, the Welshman, started tearing into things on Da Monstah. We've been spending a good amount of time consulting with our chassis/cage fabricator, Teague, on how best to bring structural rigidity to the C4 chassis. Teague was most recently with 3R Racing here in Denver and joins Tufty after just completing the initial build of their new C30 and the older S60 Volvos for the World Challenge. Some of the features will include 2 sets of differently oriented motor mounts which gets rid of the stock mounts, A-arms for the front suspension to pivot on. A direct mounting of the front sway bar to the front shock. A brand new subframe to help support everything. There will also be some major beefing up of the frame from underneath. We're also going with a modified interior cage that retains, for now, the back seat. Add to this all the new engine mods that include lighter rods, a block girdle for rigidity, the billett crank, O-ringing the block, higher strength head studs and that just about does it for now.

More to follow...
