Not cheap for a 10 year old supercar, but then that's as it should be (says he in a completely biased manner). Wonder how many miles she's done (not that it matters of course Henry, just curious ).

The clutch has done 72k miles, and with my standard ecu it copes, but with the RS ecu the torque spikes quite heavily at 4k rpm...
60-130 (mph) in 5th gear used to take almost 14 seconds, then with the 100 cells that came down to 13, now i can do it in less than 10.

Well when you do it I assume that you'll go at least for the uprated GT2 clutch (as I did) though that of course implies the monoblock flywheel and coffee grinder noises at low revs. Not that you'd hear them over the sounds of the engine by the sounds of it.

no heated seats ! shocking....

and finally a better 1st picture

even if it is very blue... although it could do with a racing stripe down the middle ?

I thought racing stripes were supposed to run down the side of the driver ( to identify which side...in case you have to cut him/her out!) Amuses me that the UK Renault Clio 172 has stripes on the passenger side! Heh Ho.
It is very blue...but it's growing on me. Why did he sell it James? and what did he buy?

Then you'd be better off buying a Ford Focus RS, Sundeep.....

Oddly enough not, the benefit of growing steadily from a little acorn rather than trying to run before learning to walk !

The colour is Riviera blue. The current photos are quite accurate. We`ve just made a bit of an investment in the photographic Dept so our pictures should be improving. I keep hankering after the car for myself and so have been a bit hard on people trying to buy it up to now, not normally a fan of turbos I do have a bit of a soft spot for a decent 993 T4. I`ve decided to put it up for sale properly now, hence it`s sensibly priced and so should find a home, unless I change my mind again! The down side of working in a sweet shop, every now & again you do fancy the odd nibble.

hey Henry, on another note, is it just me or are 964's,993's and even 996's (depending on spec) all getting very close in price now ?

I think they still each have their own price brackets. 964`s probably 15-19k, 993 23-27 and 996 25k plus for decent standard coupes with no nasty stories. Obviously individually exceptional cars will break the cieling or floor of their group. What does happen as cars get cheaper is the spread becomes less and there becomes more cross over between the cheapest of one group / most expensive of another but I don`t forsee a time when an equal 964 and 996 sell for the same price. The 993 / 996 relationship is a bit more complex because of the 993`s superior build quality relative to the 996 and the fact it was the last of the air cooled cars. I think people looking for a hobby car in the future will be more drawn to a 993 than a 996.
